Your TIMEX watch is warr anted against manufacturing defects by Timex Corporation for a period of ONE YEAR
from the original purchase date. Timex and its worldwide affiliates will honor this International W arranty .
Please note that Timex may , at its option, repair your watch by installing new or thoroughly reconditioned and
inspected components or replace it with an identical or similar model. IMPORT ANT — PLEASE NOTE THA T THIS
WARRANTY DOES NO T COVER DEFECTS OR DAMAGES T O Y OUR WA TCH:
1) after the warranty period expires;
2) if the watch was not originally purchased from an authorized Timex retailer ;
3) from repair services not performed by Timex;
4) from accidents , tampering or abuse; and
5) lens or crystal, strap or band, watch case, attachments or battery . Timex may charge you for replacing any
of these parts.

damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. This warr anty gives you specific legal rights and you may also
have other rights which vary from country to country and state to state.
To obtain warranty service , please return your watch to Timex, one of its affiliates or the Timex retailer w her e t he
watch was purchased, together with a completed original Watch Repair Coupon or , in the U .S . and Canada only ,
the completed original W atch Repair Coupon or a written statement identifying your name, address , telephone
number and date and place of purchase. Please include the following with your watch to cover postage and han-
dling (this is not a repair charge): a US$ 7.00 check or money order in the U .S .; a CAN$6.00 cheque or money order
in Canada; and a UK£2.50 cheque or money order in the U .K. In other countries, Timex will charge you for postage

3 YEAR WARRANTY
This watch is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the original
date of purchase in Austr alia, provided it has been sold by an authorized and appointed dealer . The 3 Year Warran ty only
applies to the original purchase of the watch from an authorized dealer from April 1st 2001 onwards .
All watches that were purchased prior to this date are only covered by the original 1 Y ear Warranty . Within this period, regu-
lation, adjustment, repair , replacement of parts or movements , or , at our option, replacement with a watch of equal value
and/or similar function, will be provided at no charge within a reasonable time after watch is returned during the warr anty
period, provided the watch is returned together with a warr anty card:
(a) T o the nearest authorized dealer or

Important:
1. This warranty does not cover the glass, crystal, bracelet, strap, attachments , appearance parts or power cell.
2. This warranty does not cover damage to the finish of the case, glass, crystal, bracelet, strap , or other appearance parts
caused by normal wear .
3. This warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse, accidents, use which is not in compliance with the enclosed
instructions (e.g . failure to secure a screw down crown), or lack of care and maintenance in accordance with the enclosed
care maintenance requirements.
4. This warranty does not cover water damage when the watch is not clearly designated on the case back as water resistant.
5. This warranty does not cover damage caused by non-compliance with the enclosed water resistancy user guide.
6. This warr anty is valid only if it’s fully and correctly filed in and dated by the authorized and appointed Austr alian dealer from
which the watch was purchased.
7. We reserve the rights to relinquish all responsibility under this warranty for repairs if the watch is tampered with, altered,
or damaged by any party .
8. Altered or tampered warranty cards or photocopies of warranty cards will not be honored.

Timex strongly recommends that a retailer or jeweler replace battery . If applicable , push
reset button when replacing battery . Battery type is indicated on caseback. Battery life esti-
mates are based on certain assumptions regarding usage; battery life may vary depending on

BRACELET ADJUSTMENT
SLIDING CLASP BRACELET
Open locking plate . Move clasp to desired bracelet length. Exert pressure while holding locking
plate and slide clasp back and forth until it engages in grooves on underside of bracelet. Press
locking plate down until it snaps closed. Clasp can be damaged if excessive force is used.
FOLDOVER CLASP BRACELET
Find spring bar that connects bracelet to clasp . Using a pointed tool (Fig . 2), push spring bar in
and gently twist bracelet to disengage . Determine wrist size , then insert spring bar in correct
bottom hole (Fig. 3). Push down on spring bar , align with top hole and release to lock in place
(Fig. 4).
Bracelet Link Removal
Removing Links: Place bracelet upright and insert pointed tool
in opening of link (Fig. 5). Push pin forcefully in direction of arrow
until link is detached (pins are designed to be difficult to
remove). Repeat until desired number of links are removed.
Reassembly: Rejoin bracelet parts . Push pin back into link in
opposite direction of arrow . Press pin down securely into
bracelet until it is flush.
SOLID LINK BRACELET
Removing Links: Using a very small screwdriver , remove
screws by turning COUNTERCLOCKWISE .R e peat until
desired number of links are removed. Do not remove links
adjacent to clasp (Fig. 6).
Reassembly: Rejoin bracelet parts and insert screw in end
of opening where it was removed. T urn screw clockwise
until tight and flush with bracelet.

INDIGLO® NIGHT -LIGHT
Press to illuminate watch face. Patented (U .S . pat. 4,527,096 and 4,775,964) electrolumines-
cent technology used in the INDIGLO® night-light illuminates entire watch face at night and in
low light conditions . Press and hold for three seconds (beep will sound) to activate or de-
activate NIGHT -MODE®. While in NIGHT -MODE®, press any button to illuminate watch face for
3 seconds .
If your watch is water -resistant, meter marking or ( ) is indicated.

1. Watch is water -resistant only as long as crystal, crown and case remain intact.
2. Watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving.
3. Rinse watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water .
4. Shock-resistance will be indicated on the watch face or caseback. Watches are designed to
pass ISO test for shock-resistance . However , care should be taken to avoid damaging crystal.
