Snow ploughs and gritters
16. When you choose to bring into action a snow plough or a
gritter, you cannot drive a family car this turn.
17. The snow plough removes all snow from one of the fi ve
streets. You choose which one.
Beware: snow ploughs just remove snow. All cards with ice on
this street remain there!
18. The gritter removes all ice from one street of your choice.
Beware: gritters just remove ice. All the snow on this street
just stays there!
19. Each snow plough or gritter is used only once. When used, it is
removed from the game. Decide together when and for which
street you want to use them.
20. Removed snow-and-ice cards are put face up next to the
board. Only when the face down supply is fi nished, are they
turned over and shuffl ed.
Game end
Did you succeed in visiting all 12 places to go, and then
returning all four families back home? Hurray, we managed to
do everything we wanted, despite the bad weather!
Sometimes you succeed in doing everything, but not in
bringing everyone home. Where can we stay tonight?
Did you not succeed in visiting all 12 places to go? Try to
gure out together how you can improve your strategy, so
next time you will succeed.
More challenge
A harsh winter: each turn, two weather cards are turned up
before you can start driving.
For an even greater challenge, visit the places to go in order
of the things-to-do card. For example: First go to school, then
shopping, then play sports.
Hint
Arrange the used weather cards to make clear which cards are yet
to come. Each number occurs three times and there is only one
sun card.
