Hello

I bought this item today and tried to turn it on this evening and whenever I turn it on it makes a sort of 'clicking' sound and then smoke appears from which I can only describe the smell of burned electronics(?)

I assume at this point that I've bought a dis-functional unit although I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
