1. Schalten Sie Ihren PC aus und ziehen Sie das Netzkabel ab.
2. Öffnen Sie das PC-Gehäuse.
3. Entfernen Sie die Frontblende des 5,25"-Einbauschachtes.
4. Schieben Sie die Dockingstation in den Einbauschacht.
5. Verschrauben Sie die Dockingstation mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben
von beiden Seiten im Einbauschacht.
6. Verbinden Sie die SATA-Datenkabel der Dockingstation mit freien
SATA-Anschlüssen auf dem Mainboard (weitere Informationen finden Sie
auch im Handbuch Ihres Mainboards).
7. Verbinden Sie das interne USB3.0-Kabel der Dockingstation mit einem
freien USB3.0-Anschluss auf dem Mainboard (weitere Informationen
finden Sie auch im Handbuch Ihres Mainboards).
8. Verbinden Sie den Stromanschluss auf der Rückseite der Dockingstation
mit einem passenden Stromanschluss Ihres Netzteils.
Vor der ersten Verwendung muss die Festplatte partitioniert und formatiert
werden:
Die Festplatte formatieren Sie, indem Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf
Arbeitsplatz klicken und anschließend Verwalten wählen.
Unter Windows 7 wählen Sie Start, klicken dann mit der rechten Maustaste auf
Computer und schließlich auf Verwalten.
Klicken Sie dann auf Datenträgerverwaltung. Hier finden Sie die Festplatten
und Laufwerke, die Sie formatieren können.
Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf die Festplatte und wählen Sie
Partitionieren. Eventuell muss die Platte vorher noch initialisiert werden.
Wir empfehlen das Dateisystem NTFS für Windows-PCs. Anschließend können
Sie die Festplatte formatieren.
Achtung:
Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie die korrekte Festplatte zur Formatierung ausgewählt
haben, da eventuell vorhandene Daten auf der ausgewählten Festplatte beim
Partitionieren und Formatieren gelöscht werden!
