11. MAINTENANCE OF BRUSHES
AND COLLECTOR
WARNING! Always remove the plug from the
mains socket before carrying out any work on the
machine.
The brush must be replaced when worn out as
follows:
Take off the cover R (Fig. 1) by removing the four
screws holding it in place.
To change each brush, move the end of the
spring T (Fig. 10) backwards and keep it in this
position. Remove the worn brush and replace it
with another original RUPES brush.
Ensure that it slides smoothly within the guide
and release the spring Tover the brush. Replace
the cover R (Fig. 1) with its screws. If possible,
leave the machine running for 15 minutes to
ensure that the brushes are correctly adapted.
WARNING! Should you detect burns or ribbing
on the collector, have it repaired at a RUPES
technical service outlet.
12. NOISE AND VIBRATION LEVEL
The noise and vibration levels of this electrical
device have been measured according to the
European stan dard EN50144.
The noise level in the workplace can exceed 85
dB(A), in which case it is necessary for the user
to take noise protection measures.
13. WARRANTY
All RUPES power tools are guaranteed for 12
months from the date of purchase, excluding any
damage which is a result of incorrect use or of
natural wear and tear on the machine. All repairs
should be carried out by the official RUPES
technical assistance service.
RUPES reserves the right to modify its products
without prior notice.

ATTENTION! Avant d'utiliserle rabot PL824V, lire
attentivementlaBROCHURED'INSTRUCTIONS
GÉNÉRALES DE SÉCURITÉ jointe à la docu-
mentation de la machine.
S'assurer avant de brancher la machine que la
tension d'alimentation correspond à celle indi-
quée sur la plaque de caractéristiques. Porter
des lunettes de sécurité pour travailler avec cette
machine.
Maintenir les mains éloignées de la zone de
coupe et toujours prendre la machine par la
poignée avec les deux mains.
Éviter de couper des clous. Véri? er la surface à
travailler avant de la raboter.
Débrancher la machine du secteur avant de faire
toute opération d'entretien.
Toujours employer des couteaux d'origine
RUPES. Ne jamais employer de couteaux qui ne
seraient pas affûtés, ayant des dimensions incor-
rectes, défectueux ou en mauvais état.
Toujours utiliser le porte-lames et les supports de
lames d'origine RUPES montés sur la machine.
En cas de besoin, les remplacer par des pièces
de rechange d'origine RUPES.
Il faut toujours utiliser la machine avec le protè-
ge-fer monté.
Attendre l'arrêt complet de la machine avant de
la lâcher ou de la ranger.
Il faut utiliser des protections auditives quand on
utilise la machine (voir chapitre 12).
