• Improper use and non-observance of the instruction manual will void the
warranty.
Safety instructions for operating the appliance
Warning – Hazard of injury and burns!
Grill plate, casing and accessory parts become hot during use
and remain hot for some time after switching off! Keep this in
mind when touching the appliance. Mind hot fat splatters and
rising vapour during use.
Thus, work with caution!
• We recommend using pot cloths and appropriate grill cutlery!
• Do not use vessels, scrapers or spatulas made of inferior plastic material since
they can melt and damage the Ceran
®
grill plate. Do not use sharp objects
(e.g. forks, knives) on the grill plate and do not place aluminium foil on it.
• Do not use the upper side of the appliance as a storage shelf or worktop
since it becomes hot during usage! In order to prevent fire hazard, never
place objects made of paper, plastic, fabric or other inflammable material
on the hot surface!
• Overheated fat and oil can ignite. Therefore, food containing fat and oil
always must be prepared under supervision!
• Generally it is possible to put heat-resistant cooking vessels on the Ceran
®
top. But do not use vessels made of plastic, inferior enamel, porcelain or
aluminium foil. Caution - plastic handles might be damaged by the rising heat!
• Should plastic material, aluminium foil, sugar or food containing sugar melt
accidentally to the Ceran
®
top, remove them immediately from the hot zone
using the provided cleaning scraper.
• Never splash cold water on the hot grill plate. Do not use flammable fluids
on the grill plate - the appliance is not suitable for flambéing!
• Do not transport the appliance when hot. The appliance and the accessories
must have cooled down completely before cleaning or moving!
• Observe the following when setting up the appliance:
Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, stable and even surface (no varni-
shed surfaces, no table cloths etc.)
