I have connected my Onkyo receiver to my projector thru the : 11354

I have connected my Onkyo receiver to my projector thru the HDMI out but have received the message "signal out of reach". My TV which is close to the av receiver works ok when using the HDMI out. The projector is on the ceiling in line with the ceiling speakers and they work Ok when the tv is used,
How do I correct this?
