The lR
Receiver-Trigger
is an optional
accessory to
the
Flash
Meter lV
for
use with
any
camera or lens.
This unit receives
infrared
signals
from
the
meter
to
trigger a
flash
unit when
taking
flash exposure read-
i ngs.
The
optional Data
Receiver
DR-1000
can be used
with
Minolta
(MAXXUM)
9000
and
7000
camera
for
wireless
remote
camera control.
When
mounted
on
the camera's accessory
shoe, the
Data Receiver
D
R-1
000
receives
inf
rared
signals
f rom
the
Flash
Meter lV, thus enabling
remote control of exposure
settings,
flash firing,
and shutter
release.
To
use either lR Receiver-Trigger or
Data Receiver
DR-1000,
a 6v alkaline-manganese
or 6.2v silver-oxide
battery
must be installed in battery chamber B on the
Flash Meter lV.
The Data
Receiver DR-l000
attaches
to the
camera.
Firirrg the flash to take
a
meter
readinE

Set
measuring
mode to
"NON.C".
2.
Press
the
measuring
button once
to activate
the
meter's circuit.

Point
the
lR
transmitter
window on the
Flash
Meter lV at the Data
Receiver
DR-1000
and
press
the
measuring button
again
to trigger the
flash
un it.
The
flash will fire,
and the
measurement will be
taken and
displayed on
the
meter's LCD
panel.
Wire less data
transfer:

Push the data transmission
button on the
meter.
The shutter speed and
aperture
settings displayed
on
the meter will be transferred to the
camera.

For
simultaneous
exposure-data
transfer
and
shutter
release,
point
the
lR transmitter
window
at
the DR-1000
and
press
the shutter-release
button.
The
exposure settings
displayed
on the
meter
will
be
automatically
transferred
to
the camera,
then
the shutter
will
be released.
The follclwing data
can be transferred:
Shutter
speeds: 1l4OOO
sec. to 30 sec.
using
Minolta
9000
1/2OOO
sec.
to 30 sec.
using
Minolta
7000
Aperture
values: Any
available
aperture
from the
range
available
on the AF lens in
use.
When the
transferred
data is outside
the camera's
shutter-speed
or aperture
range, exposure
is set to the
nearest avai
lable
setting.
