sioning and each connection to a different outlet.
With incorrect direction of rotation the phases need to be exchanged in the machine's plug or the power out-
let by a qualified electrician.
Danger!
Repairs to power tools must be carried out by qualified electricians only!
Risk of injury by touching the cutterblock:
• Use the jointer fence when edge jointing to have safe lateral support and guiding.
• Use an auxiliary fence when planing thin or narrow stock, to have your hands at a sufficient safety
distance to the cutterblock.
• Use a feeding aid (push block) when planing a small workpiece, which can not be guided with a sufficient
safety distance to the cutterblock.
• Use a workpiece support (e.g. a table extension) to prevent a large workpiece from losing its balance.
• Plane only workpieces that rest securely on the infeed table.
Always plane the workpiece over its full length.
• Do not pull the workpiece back over the unguarded cutterblock!
Always cover the part of the cutterblock that is not covered by the workpiece with the cutterblock cover.
Adjust the cutterblock cover exactly to the dimension of the workpiece.
• Never reach with your hands under the cutterblock cover when guiding the workpiece!
Danger when operated in thicknesser mode!
• Use a feeding aid (push stick) if you want to feed short stock into the thicknesser.
• Do not jam work pieces. Risk of kickback.
• Remove stuck stock only after motor has come to a complete stop and machine is unplugged.
• Guide a workpiece on the outfeed side if it has been fed so far into the thicknesser that it can no longer be
safely guided from the infeed side.
• Do not thickness plane more than two workpieces at the same time. In this case feed both workpieces on
the outsides of the thicknesser bed.
• The noise level when working can exceed 85 dB(A) – wear ear protection!
Safety information for care and maintenance
• Prior to all servicing:
– Switch machine OFF.
– Unplug power cable.
– Wait for cutterblock to come to a complete stop.
• Replace defective parts, especially of safety devices, only with genuine replacement parts. Parts not tested
and approved by the equipment manufacturer can cause unforeseen damage.
After all servicing:
– Check to see that all safety devices are operational.
– Make sure that no tools or other parts remain on or in the machine.
– Weitergehende Wartungs- oder Reparaturarbeiten dürfen nur Fachkräfte durchführen.
Risk of personal injury by cuts from the cutter knives!
• Wear gloves when changing cutter knives.
• Do not use cleaning agents (e.g. to remove resin residue) that could corrode the light metal components;
the stability of the light metal components would be adversely affected.
• To install the cutter knives:
Use only suitable cutter knives conforming to EN 847-1 (see ”Available Accessories“) – unsuitable, incorrec-
tly mounted, blunt or damaged cutter knives can work loose or increase the risk of kickback considerably
respectively.
Always replace or reverse both cutter knives.
– Only cutter knives marked “HSS” may be resharpened! When regrinding, remove the same amount of
material from both cutter knives!
– Install cutter knives using only genuine replacement parts.
– Do not extend tool when tightening the screws.
– Do not tighten bolts by striking the wrench.
Machine Storage
Store machine so that
it can not be started by unauthorized persons and
nobody can get injured while the machine is switched off.
Caution!
