Risk of injury by touching the rotating cutterblock:
always keep your hands well clear of the cutterblock. Switch machine off if it is not used.
Danger! Drawing-in/trapping hazard!
• Take care that no parts of the body or clothing can get caught and drawn in by the rotating saw blade (do
not wear neck ties and garments with wide sleeves; contain long hair with a hairnet).
• Risk of injury by cuts with cutterblock at standstill: Wear gloves when changing cutter knives.
Risk of injury by inhaling wood dust:
dust of certain timber species (e.g. oak, beech, ash) can cause cancer when inhaled. Use a suitable dust
collector:
fitting the outer diameter of the suction port (100 mm)
air volume 571 m
3
/h;
vacuum at suction port of machine 319 Pa;
air speed at suction port of machine 20,2 m/s.
Risk of injury by inadequate personal protection:
when planing, wear:
– dust respirator;
– hearing protection;
– safety goggles.
Caution!
Do not carry the machine holding it at the infeed and outfeed tables, these are not designed to withstand the
tensile load by the machine weight.
Danger!
• Modification of the machine or use of parts not tested and approved by the equipment manufacturer can
cause unforeseen damage.
Assemble machine exactly as per these instructions.
• Use only the parts supplied with the machine as standard equipment.
• Do not make changes to any of the parts.
Preparation
Danger!
Always unplug before servicing!
Danger! Electrical Hazard.
• Operate in dry environment only.
• Mains connection: Use a power lead with min. 1.5 mm

core cross-section. Fusing: slow fuse link or slow
MCB.
• In the event of power failure whilst the motor is running, the machine has to be switched on again after-
wards.
• If the motor has been overheated due to overloading it for a longer period of time, it may stop. It can be
switched on again only after it has cooled down.
• Operate machine only on a power source matching the following requirements (see also "Technical Data"):
– protected by a residual current operated device of 30 mA capacity;
– outlets properly earthed;
– 5-wire three-phase outlets with neutral lead;
– when a dust collector is used it must also be properly earthed.
– Position power supply cable so it does not interfere with the work and is not damaged.
– Protect power supply cable from heat, aggressive liquids and sharp edges.
– Use only extension cables of sufficient lead cross-section.
– Do not pull on power supply cable to unplug.
• Check direction of rotation! (machines with 3-phase motor only):
depending on phase sequence the cutterblock can turn in the wrong direction. This can cause damage to
the machine and workpiece. It is therefore necessary to check the direction of rotation after initial commis-
