My lg 540 sound plate works but I may be watching TV with op : 6174

My lg 540 sound plate works but I may be watching TV with optical on front of machine then every now and then the machine comes on saying dvd is opening, closing and keeps going for a couple of minutes until it stops on home but this cuts out sound of tv programme I'm watching using the plate on optical
