Before
Learning
1. Ensure

remote
control
unit's transmitting
window
is
not exposed
to direct
sunlight
or
strong
light from
lighting
fixtures
such
as
fluorescent
lights. Such
exposure
may result
in
incorrect
codes

stored
or
even
complete
breakdown
of
remote
control
operations.
2. Operate
both
remote
control
units
placed
on a
table
oi other
support
(at
fixed
distances
and
orienta-
tions
to
ensure
stable
code
recording).

The infrared
rays carrying
the output
of
the
remote
control
unit
may
be
reflected
by
walls
in unex-
pected
directions.
When
the component's
remote
èontrol
unit code
is recorded,
turn ofÍ
the
power
of
the component
(or
unplug
it from
the
power
outlet)
to
prevent
it
from
operating.

unit

revert
to the
normal operating
mode, and

-LEARN"
indicators
will
go
out.

Learn
mode

to set

RC-770
to the
learn
mode
for
programming.

Use
mode
-
Press
the USE/LEARN
bunon
to
restore
the
RC-770
to the
normal operating
mode.
(The
RC-770
will not
transmit control
signals
unless
it
is in the
use
mode.)
