USB Afkorting voor 'Universal Serial Bus'; een protocol

voor het verbinden van computers met

randapparatuur. Omdat het protocol

communicatie tussen een USB-host (meestal een

pc met een USB-verbinding) en een USB-client

mogelijk maakt, kan een PDA, die als USB-client

fungeert, niet afdrukken omdat deze geen

gegevens naar de printer kan verzenden.

Bovendien is USB 2.0, die communicatie op hoge

snelheid mogelijk maakt, achterwaarts compatibel

met USB 1.1. Afhankelijk van de

communicatiesnelheid, wordt het weergegeven

USB 2.0 (Snel) met een communicatiesnelheid

van 12 Mbps, of als USB 2.0 (Hoog) wanneer

compatibel met 480 Mbps. Deze printer kan

communiceren met USB 2.0 (Snel) en op 12

Mbps met USB 1.1- of USB 2.0-apparaten.
