• Door het dragen van een hoortoestel hebt u een iets

verhoogd risico op een ontsteking van de gehoor-

gang. Een ontsteking kan optreden als gevolg van

verminderde beluchting van het oor of door bescha-

diging van de huid, veroorzaakt door het hoortoe-

stel. We adviseren u daarom om het hoortoestel ’s

nachts niet te dragen, zodat de gehoorgang niet

steeds is afgesloten. Controleer het hoortoestel da-

gelijks en maak het indien nodig schoon. Mocht er

een ontsteking optreden, dan kan het nuttig zijn om

het hoortoestel met een desinfecterend doekje

schoon te laten maken. Maak echter nooit gebruik

van alcohol, een chlooroplossing of een vergelijkba-

re vloeistof om het hoortoestel te reinigen.

• Probeer nooit zelf het hoortoestel te openen of te re-

pareren

• Draag uw hoortoestel nooit tijdens een warmtebe-

handeling, bij het maken van röntgenfoto’s, MRI-

scans, CT-scans of tijdens radiotherapie. Sommige ty-

pen straling kunnen uw hoortoestel beschadigen.

Andere typen straling bijvoorbeeld afkomstig van

bepaalde alarmsystemen, mobiele telefoons, mag-

netrons en inductiekookplaten zijn zwakker en kun-

nen uw hoortoestel niet beschadigen, maar kunnen

wel een hinderlijk geluid in uw hoortoestel veroorza-

ken.

• Widex hoortoestellen zijn niet getest in mijnen of op

andere plaatsen waar explosiegevaar bestaat.
