• Laat een ander nooit uw hoortoestel dragen, omdat

dit een permanente beschadiging van het gehoor

kan veroorzaken.

• Het hoortoestel herstelt niet het normale gehoor,

maar kan wel helpen om het resterende gehoorver-

mogen zo goed mogelijk te benutten. Wees u er van

bewust dat het enige tijd kan duren om gewend te

raken aan een nieuw hoortoestel en nieuwe gelui-

den.

• Het gebruik van hoortoestellen kan de vorming van

een oorsmeerprop tot gevolg hebben. Denkt u dat er

een oorsmeerprop in uw oor zit, raadpleeg dan uw

huisarts of KNO-arts. Oorsmeer kan niet alleen de

oorzaak zijn van een verslechterd gehoor, het kan

ook de werking van het hoortoestel aanzienlijk ver-

minderen. Het is aan te raden om uw oren enkele ke-

ren per jaar door de huisarts te laten controleren en

zo nodig te laten reinigen.

• Het hoortoestel is gemaakt van modern, allergeen-

vrij materiaal. Slechts in zeldzame gevallen kan huid-

irritatie optreden. Mocht u merken dat de huid van

uw oorschelp of in de gehoorgang geïrriteerd raakt,

raadpleeg dan uw audicien.
