Das Produkt richtig verwenden
Das Produkt darf ausschließlich dieser Anleitung
gemäß verwendet werden. Dieser Elektronik-
baustein ist bestimmt
– zum Einbau in Modelleisenbahnanlagen,
– zum Betrieb an einem zugelassenen Modell-
bahntransformator bzw. an einer damit ver-
sorgten elektrischen Steuerung,

Digitalfahrstrom).
Dadurch ist er flexibel einsetzbar:
► Anzeige von besetzten und freien Gleisen in
Gleisbildstellwerken
► Erzeugung der Gleisbesetztmeldung zur Verar-
beitung in Rückmeldedecodern wie z. B. Viess-
mann 5217 und 1202.
► Automatische Steuerung von Einfahr- und Aus-
fahrgruppen in Abstellbahnhöfen (z. B. Schat-
tenbahnhöfe)
► Steuerung der Signale von Selbstblockstrecken

Internet unter www.viessmann-modell.de.
3. Funktionsweise
Der Gleisbesetztmelder 5206 versorgt die zu
überwachenden Gleisabschnitte mit der Fahr-
spannung. Dazu wird er zwischen Fahrtrafo oder
Digitalzentrale bzw. Booster und das Gleis ge-
schaltet. Er erkennt den Stromfluss zum Gleis,

2. Introduction
The Viessmann Track occupancy detector 5206
monitors up to eight track sections. The occupan-
cy status for each track section is notified “free” or
“occupied” via two relay-outputs.
The track occupancy detector works independent-
ly of the direction of the trains. It works with AC,
DC or digital power.
Therefore it is very flexible to handle:
► Indication of free or occupied tracks in diagram
panels
► Generation of the track occupancy status for
processing in feedback decoders like the Viess-
mann-module 5217 or 1202.
► Automatic control of train stations with up to
eight tracks.
► Control of the signals of self-block routes.
More information about the various possibilities to
use the Track Occupancy Detector can be found
on the Viessmann-website under www.viessmann-
modell.com.
3. Function
The Track Occupancy Detector 5206 supplies the
track sections, which have to be monitored, with
propulsion power. Therefore it has to be set up
between transformer or digital command station
(or booster) and the track. The 5206 detects the
electricity supply of the track, if a current consum-
