Ultimate10 Android 4.0 TabletQUICK START GUIDE
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this Ultimate10 Android 4.0 tablet.
This is a quick start guide for your reference. You can find the detailed instruction
manual on our website helpdesk.tom-tec.eu/android4-en
Check our website regularly for firmware-updates for your tablet.
Turn on/ turn off
To turn on your tablet, press and hold the power key (key nr. 14, please see section
“Getting Started”) at the right side of your tablet for 5 seconds. You will see the
unlock screen after your tablet is turned on.
Click and hold the lock and do the following:
Drag the lock on the open lock icon (to the right): you will go to the home
screen.
Drag the lock on the camera icon (to the left): you will go to camera directly.
To power off your tablet, press and hold the power key (key nr. 14) until the “Would
you like to shut down?” dialog appears and tap “OK” to power it off.
Sleep mode:
To save battery, you can put your tablet in sleep mode by turning off the LCD
display. To do this, shortly press the power key. Press it again to wake up the screen.

5. Menu key
Tap to view the option menu. When you Tap the Menu
key from within an application, you will see the sub-menus
for the application.
6. Home key
Go to your home screen
7. ESC Key
Tap to return to the previous screen/ page.
8. Power jack
(DC input)
Connect to a 9V output adaptor as included in the
accessories
9. Micro SD card slot
To insert your SD card
10. HDMI slot
Connect to TV output via a HDMI cable
11. Earphone jack
To connect your earphone
12. Mini-USB slot
Connect to a computer via a USB cable to transfer data
(e.g., music, videos, photos, and other files).
13. USB host
USB OTG, supports mouse, keyboard, USB flash disk, etc.
14. Power and lock
key
Hold and press to turn on or turn off this unit.
Briefly press to turn on or turn off the screen.
15. MIC
Microphone
16. Reset hole
Press to reset the tablet if it freezes or behaves abnormal.
(Use a paperclip or other sharp object to stab this reset
hole, and then press power button to turn it on.)

Charging Battery
The device has a built-in rechargeable battery. Charge the unit when it indicates
low battery.
To charge the battery, connect the device to any standard wall outlet via the
power adaptor.
Notes: please use the power adaptor (output: 9V 2.5A) we supplied for this unit
ONLY. The usage of other adapters will void any warranty.

Connect to PC via USB cable:
You can connect your tablet to your computer with the supplied USB cable so you
can transfer media files when you are running Windows 7 or Vista.
For Windows XP, please install Windows Media Player 11 before you transfer media
files. For Mac please refer to: www.android.com/filetransfer.
Settings
Open the Settings application to enter the settings menu, you can check and set
wireless & networks, sound, display, storage, Battery, Accounts &sync, security,
language, date&time, about tablet, etc.
Wi-Fi: SelectWireless & networks” menu to turn on wifi and scan for networks. It will
show a list of Wi-Fi networks scanned in range. Select the Wi-Fi network you want to
connect to (You may need to input the password if network).
Display: To set Brightness, Wallpaper, Sleep time-out, Font size here.
Storage: Check internal storage here. If you insert an Micro SD card, or USB disk, you
can check the total and available space for your Micro SD card or USB disk.
Please unmount it to safely remove it.
Battery: Check the Battery status here.
Language & input: to set language and keyboard input.
Backup & reset: to go to submenu "back up my data" and "Factory data reset". If
you choose factory data reset, all data from your tablet's internal storage will be
erased. Choose this option carefully.
About Tablet: To check information about your tablet, such as Model number,
android version, etc.

Tap to enter Google search page

c. Apps Launcher
Tap to show all the applications installed
d. ESC key
Tap to return to the previous screen/ page.
e. Home
Tap to return to your home page
f. Recent operations
Tap to show your recent operations
g. Connect to PC
When connect to PC, this icon will show here.
h. System time
Show the system current time
i. Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi signal show here if connected with Wi-Fi
j. Battery status
Show battery status
Change wallpaper for home screen:
Tap and hold your finger in any blank space of the home screen, you will see a pop-
up options; you can choose wallpaper from Gallery, live Wallpapers or Wallpapers.
Add/delete applications on home screen:
There are several apps in the home screen, you can also add more frequently-used
app icons in this home page and delete some less frequently-used ones.
Tap the app launcher in the top right corner to go to all apps panel, tap and move
the app you want to the home screen.
To delete an app from home screen, tap and hold it, and then move it to the
remove icon
Add widgets to home screen:
Tap the apps launcher Tap WIDGETS. There are Analog clock, bookmarks,
calendar, Email, and lots of other widgets. Drag the widget you want to the home
screen.
Tips: Besides your home screen, you can access to other four panels by sliding left or
right in your home screen. You can also customize these panels.
Installing and Managing applications
Install an app: Open APKinstaller “install” choose to install from internal
memory or TF card tab the .apk file which you want to install, and follow the
guide.
Manage an app: open APKinstaller “manage” you can launch, export,
uninstall an application.
Market
With the Market app, you can download and install apps all apps
that are available for your tablet. To use the Market, please open the application
Settings, then go to category “Options for developpers” and choose option “Google
applications”. You can find the Market in the Apps Launcher.
To use the Android Market you have to use your current Google Account
or register a new one.
The following options are present in the Market:
Search: With this option you can search for apps that are available for your
tablet.
My apps: Here you can manage and update all installed apps.
Menu: This menu displays all other options from the application
Browser
After you are connected to a wifi network, you can access the internet. Tap the
Browser icon to open the Browser and input the website address you want to go
to.
Explorer
You can find the Explorer app in the apps launcher , with this app you can
manage your files that are on a micro SD card, Internal Memory, or USB drive.
