SPECIFIC ABSORPTION RATE (SAR) CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
FOR THE TABLET
This device meets European Union (EU) standards that limits human exposure
to radio frequencies (RF) issued by telecommunication devices and radios.
These standards prevent the sale of mobile devices that exceed a level of
maximum exposure equal to 2.0 W/Kg in order to assure the safety of all
persons regardless of age and health.
The radio wave exposure guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the
Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for these mobile devices is
2,0 W/Kg. Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions
with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested
frequency bands. During test, the actual SAR value for this device is 0,402-
0,841 W/kg. During normal use, SAR values are usually well below the values
stated above since the device is designed to emit only the radio frequency
energy needed to transmit the signal to the closest base station. The lower the
power output of the device, the lower its SAR value. Organizations such as the
World Health Organization and the US Food and Drug Administration have
suggested that if people are concerned and want to reduce their exposure,
they could use a hands-free accessory to keep the wireless device away from
the head and body during use, or reduce the amount of time spent using the
device.
