FRUIT BREAD setting (reduced toasting time
for fruit bread, raisin buns, sweet pastry)
Due to its increased sugar content, sweet pastry requires shorter toasting times
than e.g. white bread or wholegrain bread. The toasting time is reduced by the
FRUIT BREAD setting.
1. Place the fruit bread / pastry in the slots.
2. To select the FRUIT BREAD setting, press the CRUMPET/FRUIT BREAD button
twice, the button surround lights up blue.
3. Select the desired roasting degree by moving the roasting degree controller (H)
to the corresponding position.
4. Press the TOAST/CANCEL button, the button surround lights up red. The fruit
bread / pastry is automatically lowered and centered.
5. During the toasting process, the button surround of LIFT AND LOOK™ lights
up white, indicating that the toasting process can be checked and, if neces-
sary, stopped at any time. To check the roasting degree of the pastry press the
LIFT AND LOOK™ button, the pastry pops up for a few seconds. If the pastry
is sufficiently toasted, press the TOAST/CANCEL button to stop the toasting
process. Approximately 10 seconds before the toasting process is over, the but-
ton surround of LIFT AND LOOK™ goes out and the function can no longer be
activated.
6. When the toasting process stops and while the lifting mechanism is lifting up
the pastry, the button surround of TOAST/CANCEL flashes red. The LED bar on
the other hand does not flash, instead it lights up constantly up to the selected
roasting degree.
7. Once the toasting process has been completed and the pastry has been lifted
up, the Done-signal sounds. Remove the pastry, the button surround of TOAST/
CANCEL lights up white for 30 seconds to indicate that the appliance is ready
for the next toasting process. The button surround of CRUMPET/FRUIT BREAD
remains lit blue and needs to be pressed once if another toasting process in the
FRUIT BREAD function is not desired. Also, the button surround of CRUMPET/
FRUIT BREAD goes out after 30 seconds resp. if the power plug has been pulled.
FROZEN button (D)
The FROZEN function for frozen toast / frozen bread increases toasting time, as fro-
zen bread has to be toasted longer. In conjunction with the CRUMPET function, this
function can also be used for frozen pastry.
Toasting frozen bread:
1. Place the frozen bread in the slots.
2. Select the desired degree of roasting by moving the roasting degree controller (H)
to the corresponding position.
3. Press the TOAST/CANCEL button, the button surround lights up red. Then, press
the FROZEN button and its button surround lights up white. The bread is auto-
matically lowered and centered. The toasting time is increased a bit.
4. During the toasting process, the button surround of LIFT AND LOOK™ lights
up white, indicating that the toasting process can be checked and, if neces-
sary, stopped at any time. To check the roasting degree of the bread press the
LIFT AND LOOK™ button, the bread pops up for a few seconds. If the bread is
sufficiently toasted, press the TOAST/CANCEL button to stop the toasting pro-
cess. Approximately 10 seconds before the toasting process is over, the button
surround of LIFT AND LOOK™ goes out and the function can no longer be
activated.
