Uso de la vajilla adecuada
■ El material ideal para un horno microondas es aquel permeable a las
microondas y que, por tanto, permita que la energía atraviese el recipiente
para calentar los alimentos. Las microondas no pueden atravesar el metal.
Por este motivo, no deben utilizarse recipientes ni platos de metal.
■ Al calentar alimentos en el microondas, no utilice productos de papel reci-
clado, ya que es posible que contengan minúsculos fragmentos metálicos
que podrían provocar chispas y/o incendios.
■ Se recomienda utilizar platos redondos/ovalados en lugar de cuadrados/
alargados, ya que los alimentos que se encuentran en las esquinas adquie-
ren un punto de cocción excesivo. La siguiente lista supone una guía general
para la selección de la vajilla correcta.
