Safety instructions for wet and dry vacuum cleaners
Before start-up please read these instructions!
If, on unpacking the unit, you discover damage has been caused
in transit please contact your sales oce.
The warning and information signs attached to the unit provide
important information for safe operation.
Apart from the information in the operating instructions comply
with the general safety regulations and regulations for the
prevention of accidents.
Power supply
The voltage indicated on the rating plate must correspond to the
voltage of the power source.
Class I units may only be connected to properly earthed power
sources.
Only use or replace power supply cables for your unit which
corresponds to the types indicated by the manufacturer. Comply
with the maintenance instructions.
Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
Do not run over, crush or pull the power supply cable or exten-
sion lead, otherwise it may be damaged. Protect the cable from
heat, oil and sharp edges.
Do not use a hose or high pressure water spray to clean the unit
(danger of short-circuits or other damage).
Application
Before use, check that the unit and operating equipment, in
particular the power supply cable and the extension lead, are in
perfect condition and are safe to operate.
Never vacuum explosive liquids, combustible gases, explosive
dusts or undiluted acids and solvents! Substances to avoid also
include petrol, paint thinner and fuel oil which could form explo-
sive fumes or mixtures by being in turbulence with the air under
suction. In addition, the list includes acetone, undiluted acids
and solvents as well as aluminum and magnesium dusts. These
substances can also attack the materials used in the unit.
Do not draw in burning or glowing objects.
Do not direct the unit at people or animals.
The appropriate safety regulations must be observed when us-
ing the unit in dangerous areas (e.g. petrol stations). It is forbid-
den to operate the unit in potentially explosive locations.
Operation
The operator must use the unit in accordance with the regula-
tions. He/she must take local conditions into account and be
aware of other people, especially children, when operating
the unit. The unit may only be used by persons who have been
instructed in how to use it or who have proved their ability to
operate it and who have been expressly commissioned to use it.
The unit may not be operated by children or by the frail and
inrm without supervision.
Never leave the unit unattended unless you have switched it o
and unplugged the power cord.
Transport
Switch o the motor and secure the unit before transporting.
Maintenance
Switch o the unit and unplug the power cord prior to perform-
ing cleaning and maintenance work or replacing components
for the unit.
Repairs may only be carried out by authorized customer service
centres or by specialists in the eld who are familiar with all the
relevant safety regulations.
Commercial units which may be used in dierent locations are
subject to a safety check according to VDE 0701.
Accessories
Only use accessories and spare parts which have been approved
by the manufacturer. Original accessories and spare parts
guarantee that the unit can be operated safely and without any
breakdowns.
Wet vacuum cleaner
This unit must not be used for removing dust which is hazardous
to you health. Comply with the safety information in the operat-
ing instructions.
Clean the water level limiting device regularly and check for signs
of damage.
Warning! Switch o the unit immediately if foam or liquid ows
out!
Do not keep the unit in sub-zero temperatures.
Electrical Connection and Supply
Warning: This appliance must be earthed. When using this ap-
pliance outdoors it should be additionally protected by a RCCB
(Residual Current Circuit Breaker).
Please check that the supply voltage details given on the rating
plate (located on the side of the motor housing) are in accor-
dance with your electricity supply.
Before cleaning and maintenance, disconnect from mains supply.
This appliance may be tted with a plug, if not follow instructions
below.
Fitted Plug
If the appliance is tted with a molded-on plug and the socket
outlets in the home are not suitable for a plug supplied with this
appliance, it should be cut o and an appropriate three pin plug
tted.

Abgesehen von den Informationen in der Betriebsanleitung,
befolgen Sie die allgemeinen Sicherheitsregulierungen und
Regulierungen zum Schutz vor Unfällen.
Stromversorgung
Die Voltzahl, die auf dem Typenschild angegeben ist muss mit der
Voltzahl der Energiequelle übereinstimmen.
Klasse-I-Geräte sollten nur mit den richtig geerdeten Energi-
equellen verbunden werden.
Verwenden oder ersetzen Sie nur Stromkabel für das Gerät,
welche mit den Typen übereinstimmen, die vom Hersteller
angegeben wurden. Befolgen Sie die Wartungsinstruktionen.
Fassen Sie niemals die Netzstecker mit nassen Händen an.
Laufen Sie nicht über das Stromkabel, quetschen Sie es nicht
ein oder ziehen Sie nicht daran, da es sonst beschädigt werden
könnte. Schützen Sie das Kabel vor Hitze, Öl und scharfen
Kanten.
Verwenden Sie keinen Schlauch oder Hochdruck-Wasserstrahl,
um das Gerät zu säubern. (Gefahr von Kurzschlüssen oder andere
Schäden).
Anwendung
Vor dem Gebrauch überprüfen Sie bitte, dass sich das Gerät und
das Betriebszubehör, speziell das Stromkabel und die Verlänger-
ungsschnur, in einem perfekten Zustand benden und sicher für
den Betrieb sind.
Saugen Sie niemals explosive Flüssigkeiten, entammbare
Gase, explosiven Staub oder reine Säuren und Lösungsmittel!
Zu vermeidende Substanzen sind auch Benzin, Farbverdün-
ner und Heizöl, das explosive Brandgase entwickeln kann oder
Mixturen, die entstehen, wenn sie mit der Eingesaugten Luft
verwirbelt werden. Außerdem stehen auf der Liste noch Aceton,
unverdünnte Säuren und Lösungsmittel sowie Aluminium- und
Magnesiumstaub. Diese Substanzen können die Materialien
angreifen, die im Gerät verwendet wurden.
Saugen Sie nicht in brennende oder glühende Objekte hinein.
Richten Sie das Gerät niemals auf Menschen oder Tiere.
Die entsprechenden Sicherheitsvorschriften müssen beachtet
werden, wenn man das Gerät in gefährlichen Bereichen ver-
wendet (z.B. Tankstellen). Es ist verboten das Gerät an potenziell
explosiven Orten zu verwenden.
