F: In welchem Format ist die Backup Plus Desktop formatiert?
A: Backup Plus Desktop ist ab Werk mit dem Windows-eigenen Dateisystem NTFS formatiert.
F: Funktioniert die Seagate-Festplatte auch ohne Backup-Software?
A: Ja, für die Verwendung der Festplatte wird keine spezielle Software benötigt. Die Festplatte kann
zusätzlich zum internen Speicher Ihres Computers verwendet werden. Sie können zum Beispiel Videos,
Fotos, Musik und Dokumente von Ihrem Computer auf die Seagate-Festplatte kopieren.
F: Funktioniert Backup Plus Desktop auch mit einem Mac?
A: Ja. Weil die Festplatte jedoch NTFS-formatiert ist, wird die Backup Plus Desktop unter einem Mac als
schreibgeschützt angezeigt. Wenn Sie Dateien zwischen Windows-PCs und Macs austauschen möchten,
müssen Sie den Paragon-Treiber für Mac auf Ihrem Mac installieren. Dieser Treiber ermöglicht es, dass Macs
auf NTFS-formatierten Dateien schreiben können.
Wenn Sie die Backup Plus Desktop ausschließlich mit Macs verwenden möchten, können Sie sie im Format
Mac OS Extended (Journaled) formatieren. Siehe Optionales Formatieren und Partitionieren für weitere

F: Kann ich den USB-3.0-Anschluss der Seagate-Festplatte mit dem USB-2.0-Anschluss meines Computers
verbinden?
A: Ja, der für Ihren Computer vorgesehene Stecker (USB Typ A) am Kabel ist sowohl mit USB 3.0 als auch USB
2.0 kompatibel. Jedoch ist die Datenübertragungsgeschwindigkeit von USB 2.0 wesentlich geringer.
F: Lässt sich die Seagate-Festplatte auch an einem USB-Hub verwenden?
A: Ja, Sie können die Festplatte an einem USB-Hub anschließen. Wenn es bei der Verwendung eines Hubs
zu Problemen kommt und die Festplatte zum Beispiel nicht erkannt wird, die Datenübertragung
ungewöhnlich langsam ist, die Festplattenverbindung zum Computer sporadisch getrennt wird oder andere
Probleme auftreten, sollten Sie die Festplatte zunächst an einem USB-Anschluss Ihres Computers
anschließen.
Einige USB-Hubs haben Probleme mit dem Energiemanagement, was sich negativ auf die verbundenen
Geräte auswirkt. In diesem Fall sollten Sie den Kauf eines USB-Hubs mit eigener Stromversorgung in
Erwägung ziehen.
Beachten Sie, dass Ihre Festplatte an einem USB-2.0-Hub auch nur mit USB-2.0-Geschwindigkeit betrieben
