5. MAINTENANCE
Dirt may prevent the presence detector from functioning properly. Therefore, always keep the lens clean and
dry. Use a damp cloth and water with some detergent to clean the lens. Never exert pressure to wipe the lens
clean. If the lens or other parts of the presence detector are defective, please contact an authorised installer.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Cause Action
The lighting is not switched on. Incorrect wiring. Refer to the wiring diagrams and
check if the lighting is working.
The ambient light level is too
high.
Check the set lux value and
adjust if necessary (higher value).
The lighting is not switched off. The switch-off delay is too long. Check the switch-off delay and
adjust if necessary (lower value).
Detector has false triggering. Check for any objects in the room
that may cause false triggering
and remove them from the
detection area.
Incorrect wiring. Check the wiring diagrams.
The red LED does not turn on. PIR is not selected as the
detection method.
Select PIR as the detection
method.
The movement is outside the
detection range of the PIR sensor.
The movement should be within
the detection range (8 m).
A cover cap is used so that there
is no detection on the place of the
movement.
Remove or reposition the cover
cap.
The green LED does not turn on. US is not selected as the
detection method.
Select US as the detection
method.
The movement is outside the
detection range of the ultrasonic
sensor.
The movement should be within
the detection range (10 x 16 m).
False triggering The following elements may
affect the proper functioning of
the ultrasonic sensor and may
cause false triggering:
- air flows
- sound absorbing materials,
carpet, curtains, …
- heat sources
- reflective objects
- objects subject to wind
- wiring (a reverse wiring between
N and L will cause reduced
sensitivity of the ultrasonic
sensor sensitivity and will limit
the detection area)
- Activate the potentiometer for
light sensitivity (ON). This will
reduce the sensitivity of the
ultrasonic sensor by ± 10 to
40%, depending on the severity
of the air flow.
- Avoid aiming the detector
toward any heat sources, such
as air conditioning, electric fans,
heaters or reflective surfaces.
- Make sure there are no objects
within the detection range that
are subject to wind.
- Check the wiring diagrams.
