8. WARNHINWEISE FÜR DIE INSTALLATION
- Die Installation darf ausschließlich von einer Elektrofachkraft unter Berücksichtigung der geltenden
Vorschriften ausgeführt werden.

Diese Gebrauchsanleitung muss dem Benutzer ausgehändigt werden. Die Gebrauchsanleitung ist den Unterlagen
der elektrischen Anlage beizufügen und muss auch eventuellen neuen Besitzern ausgehändigt werden.
Zusätzliche Exemplare erhalten Sie über die Internetseiten von Niko oder über den Kundendienst von Niko.
- Beachten und berücksichtigen Sie bei der Installation unter anderem folgende Punkte:
- die gültigen Gesetze, Normen und Richtlinien.
- den Stand der Technik zum Zeitpunkt der Installation.
- die in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung aufgeführten Anweisungen, wobei diese Gebrauchsanleitung nur
allgemein gültige Bestimmungen enthält, die für jede Anlage spezifisch angewendet werden müssen.
- die allgemein anerkannten Regeln fachmännischer Arbeit.
9. NIKO UNTERSTÜTZUNG

10. GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN
- Der Garantiezeitraum beträgt vier Jahre ab Lieferdatum. Als Lieferdatum gilt das Rechnungsdatum
zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs durch den Endverbraucher. Falls keine Rechnung mehr vorhanden ist, gilt das
Produktionsdatum.
- Der Endverbraucher ist verpflichtet, Niko schriftlich über einen Produktmangel innerhalb von zwei Monaten
nach dessen Feststellung zu informieren.
- Im Falle eines Mangels hat der Endverbraucher nur Recht auf kostenlose Reparatur oder Ersatz des
Produkts. Eine Entscheidung darüber obliegt allein Niko.
- Niko ist nicht für Mängel oder Schäden verantwortlich, die durch fehlerhafte Installation, nicht
bestimmungsgemäßen oder unsachgemäßen Gebrauch, durch falsche Bedienung, Anpassen/Ändern des
Produktes, infolge von unsachgemäßer Wartung entgegen den Wartungsvorschriften oder die sich aus
äußeren Umständen, wie beispielsweise infolge Feuchtigkeit oder Überspannung, ergeben.

Zwingende Vorschriften der nationalen Gesetzgebung bezüglich des Verkaufs von Konsumgütern und zum
Verbraucherschutz haben vor den obigen Bestimmungen Vorrang in den Ländern, in denen Niko direkt oder über
seine Neben- oder Tochtergesellschaften, Filialen, Vertriebsstellen, Agenten oder über feste Vertreter verkauft.

1. DESCRIPTION
The presence detector Dual Tech 360° (master) integrates advanced Passive Infrared Technology (PIR) and
Ultrasonic (US) Technology in one single device. Combining these technologies prevents false triggering, even
in difficult applications. The presence detector is suitable for indoor use, e.g. in open plan offices, public toilets,
conference rooms, underground car parks, classrooms and libraries.
This presence detector can be used as a master (standalone), in combination with one or more slaves, and can
be connected to an external push button.
The switch-off delay, sensor sensitivity, lux value, air flow sensitivity and detection method can be set using the
potentiometers on the presence detector or via the IR remote control (not included) (350-20067).
2. INSTALLATION
2.1. Connection
Danger: Disconnect all power before installing the presence detector. Do not connect the device to the mains
voltage until installation has been completed.
A. Standalone
Refer to the wiring diagram (fig. 1).
B. In combination with one or more slaves
Refer to the wiring diagram (fig. 2).
C. Use of an external push button
You connect an external push button to the presence detector if you must also be able to control the device
manually. You can connect the push button only to the master.
Follow the wiring diagram (fig. 3) to connect the push button.
2.2. Mounting
Tip: Do not install the presence detector in the vicinity of heat sources such as stoves or electric heaters,
air currents (ventilation systems) or moving objects. Also avoid reflective surfaces such as large windows
or glass partition walls (fig. 4). This can activate the device unnecessarily because the device reacts to
movement and heat in its environment.
Tip: Ideally, the presence detector should be mounted onto the ceiling. If the device is mounted below ceiling
level, the ultrasonic detection range will be reduced.
Tip: The recommended mounting height is 2 to 3 m. The presence detector performs optimally when
mounted at a height of 2.5 m.
The presence detector is suitable for:
• ushmountingwithastandardush-mountingbox,or
• surfacemountingusingthesurface-mountingbase.Whenusingthesurface-mountingbase,youcan
use any of the seven pairs of fixing holes with various distances from 41 to 85 mm.
3. SETTINGS
The presence detector can be used with standard factory settings (see section 3.1.) or you can modify
the settings (see section 3.2.) using the potentiometers on the device or the IR remote control.
3.1. Factory settings
At delivery the parameters of the presence detector Dual Tech 360° (master) are set as follows:

3.2. Modifying settings
A. Using the potentiometers
Underneath the housing of the presence detector, you will find five potentiometers that can be used to modify
the parameters as you prefer (fig. 5).
Potentiometer Function
Setting the light level (light sensitivity) at which
the lights must be switched on. 10, 100, 300 and
1000 lux are approximate values.
Setting the switch-off delay. There are six preset
values:

1 minute
- 5 minutes
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- pulse: interval of 1 second on, 9 seconds off
- test mode: the lighting is switched on for two
seconds whenever motion is detected
Setting the detection range. There are four preset
values:
- – (minimum setting): ± 2 x 3 m
- ± 4 x 6 m
- ± 7 x 8 m
- + (maximum setting): ± 10 x 16 m
