1. HI & LO INPUTS
HI & LO input jack sockets are a feature
found on most classic ampliers.
They ensure maximum exibility with
different pickup types, congurations
and, of course, personal tonal
preference.
2. MASTER
This controls the overall volume of the
amplier.
The PULL POWER REDUCTION
function drops the amplier’s output
power from 30 Watts to 5 Watts when
activated.
Tonal Note 1: The PULL POWER
REDUCTION function results in a
slightly warmer, less ‘in your face’ sound.
The switch is located with the MASTER
control because it is a power stage
function. When power is dropped tonal
integrity is maintained.
Tonal Note 2: The drop in volume will
vary depending on the level of the
MASTER volume – the higher the
MASTER volume level, the less the
perceived volume drop will be.

3. SENSITIVITY
This control optimises the sensitivity of
the preamp by controlling its negative
feedback. By doing so it increases or
decreases the gain without changing the
output impedance of the rst stage. This
means that tonal integrity is
preserved regardless of where the
SENSITIVITY control level is set.
4. TREBLE
This controls the level of higher
frequencies.
5. MIDDLE
This controls the level of middle range
frequencies.
6. BASS
This controls the level of lower
frequencies.
7. EDGE
Unlike BASS, MIDDLE and TREBLE,
which are preamp functions, EDGE is
a power stage function. This means
that it makes the overall characteristic
sound of the amplier brighter or darker,
depending where you set it.
Tonal Note 1: The EDGE control cuts
high frequencies between the phase
splitter and the power valves. This
has a function similar to a traditional
‘presence’ control. Most ‘presence’
