WAARSCHUWING
■ Bij stilstaande auto
● Trap het gaspedaal niet onnodig in.
Als de transmissie in een andere stand dan P of N staat, kan de auto onverwachts
accelereren, waardoor er een aanrijding kan ontstaan.
● Laat bij stilstaande auto het hybridesysteem niet langdurig ingeschakeld.
Parkeer de auto als het niet anders kan op een open plek en zorg ervoor dat er
geen uitlaatgassen in het interieur terecht kunnen komen.
● Voorkom het ontstaan van ongelukken door het wegrollen van de auto en houd
het rempedaal ingetrapt zolang het controlelampje READY brandt. Activeer de
parkeerrem indien nodig.
● Voorkom voor- of achteruit wegrijden van de auto bij stoppen op een helling: trap
altijd het rempedaal in en activeer de parkeerrem indien nodig.
● Voorkom dat de motor met een te hoog toerental draait.
Als de motor met een hoog toerental draait terwijl de auto stilstaat, kan het uit-
laatsysteem oververhit raken, hetgeen brand kan veroorzaken als er brandbaar
materiaal aanwezig is.
■ Als de auto geparkeerd is
● Laat geen brillen, aanstekers, spuitbussen of blikken frisdrank in de auto liggen
als deze in de zon geparkeerd staat.
Dit kan resulteren in het volgende:
• Een aansteker of spuitbus kan gas gaan lekken, waardoor brand kan ontstaan.
• De temperatuur in de auto kan zo hoog oplopen dat kunststof brillenglazen
en kunststof monturen kunnen vervormen of barsten.
• Blikjes frisdrank kunnen open barsten, waardoor de inhoud in het interieur
terechtkomt; bovendien kan de vloeistof kortsluiting in de elektrische compo-
nenten veroorzaken.
● Laat geen aanstekers achter in de auto. Als een aansteker in het dashboardkastje
of op de vloer ligt, kan deze per ongeluk gaan branden als er bagage wordt
geplaatst of een stoel wordt afgesteld en brand veroorzaken.
● Plak geen parkeerschijven op de voorruit of andere ruiten. Plaats geen reservoirs
zoals luchtverfrissers op het instrumentenpaneel of dashboard. Deze parkeer-
schijven of reservoirs kunnen als een lens werken en brand veroorzaken in de
auto.
