A. PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE CONTROL

Look up the relevant device codes in the code list included in these

operating instructions.

Press the SET button (9) and simultaneously one of the device

buttons (TV, VCR, DVD, AUD, CAB, SAT). Release both buttons

when the LED lights up.

Enter the four-digit number of your brand or model (indicated on

the code list).

Press the POWER button (2) on the remote control. If the code

was entered correctly, all functions can now be controlled with the

remote.

Note:

Some brands have more than just one code. If the device does not

respond to the first code, repeat steps 1-3 using another code. Test

all codes indicated for your brand or model. Select the code to which

the remote control responds correctly.

Press any button to finish programming.

NOTE:

a) Make sure that no step takes longer than 10 seconds. Otherwise

the programming will stop automatically.

b) There may also be codes which permit to control only some

commands using the remote (limited use). Therefore, it is

advisable to look up the code with which most or even all possible

functions can be controlled.

c) If no code from the code list leads to satisfying results, try using

the manual search run (see chapter B).

B. MANUAL SEARCH RUN

Start a manual search run if your device does not respond to the

remote, even though you have tried out all codes specified for your type

of device and brand.

1. Switch on the device that you want to operate. If you are looking for a

code for a VCR/CD/LD/DVD device, insert a videotape or a DVD/CD

and press “Play” before starting the search run.

2. Press the SET button and simultaneously one of the device

buttons (TV, VCR, DVD, AUDIO, CABLE, SAT) until the LED lights

up. Then release both buttons.

3. Press briefly the SET button once again. The LED starts to flash

and the manual search run is enabled.

4. On the remote control, press several times the POWER button

until the device that you want to operate is switched off (with VCR,

DVD, AUD: press the PLAY button instead of the POWER button).

If the device responds, proceed with the next step. If not, repeat

this step.

5. Check the functions of the device.

6. Press any device button to finish programming. The LED goes

out.

Note:

a) Make sure that no step takes longer than 30 seconds. Otherwise

the manual search run will stop.

b) You need to switch on the device manually, if it device cannot be

switched on or off using the remote. Insert a video tape or a DVD/CD

if you are looking for a VCR/CD/LD/DVD code. During the manual

search run, press the PLAY button to check whether the device

responds.

C. AUTOMATIC SEARCH RUN

This function permits to perform an automatic code search.

1. Switch on the device that you want to operate. VCR/CD/LD/DVD:

insert a video tape or a DVD/CD and press “Play”.

2. Select the device that you want to use on the remote control (TV,

VCR, DVD, AUDIO, CABLE, SAT).

3. Point the remote control directly at the desired device. Press the

SET and POWER button simultaneously for approx. 3 seconds.

Then release both buttons. The automatic search run starts.

4. The remote control will then try to switch off the device. Once that

happens, immediately press the button of the desired device on

the remote.

5. Press any button to finish programming.

D. SELECTING DEVICES

When setting your devices, it is recommended to perform the steps of

chapters A, B and C in the following order: TV, VCR, DVD, AUDIO,

CABLE, SAT .

Just select the device that you want to control and press the

appropriate device button.

DISPOSAL

Your universal remote control is delivered in a separate package to

protect it against damage during transport. All materials used are

valuable raw materials and can be collected for recycling.

Do not dispose of the remote control in the domestic waste.

Use to the collection points provided for the disposal. Please

inquire with your local authority about your local recycling

centre or collection point.

Used batteries do not belong in household waste! Return them

to a collection point for used batteries.
