Gebruikte Socks-protocol
U geeft als volgt de instellingen voor de proxyserver op:
1. Druk op Start > Instellingen > Verbindingen > Proxy.
2. Druk op Menu > Toevoegen om een nieuwe verbinding met een proxyserver in te stellen. Druk
op Menu > Bewerken om een proxyserver te bewerken.
3. Blader naar de gewenste optie en selecteer deze in de lijst Maakt verbinding van.
4. Blader naar de optie Internet en selecteer deze in de lijst Maakt verbinding met.
5. Typ in het vak Proxy (naam:poort) de naam en poort van de proxyserver.
6. Blader naar de gewenste protocoloptie en selecteer deze in de lijst Type.
GPRS instellen met behulp van HP iPAQ DataConnect
U kunt de toepassing HP iPAQ DataConnect gebruiken om uw GPRS-instellingen automatisch te
configureren, volgens de gegevens van de serviceprovider en het land/de regio waarin de HP iPAQ
wordt gebruikt.
U stelt GPRS als volgt in met behulp van HP iPAQ DataConnect:
1. Druk op Start > Meer > Bureauaccessoires > HP iPAQ DataConnect.
2. Blader naar uw land/regio in de lijst Land en selecteer het.
3. Blader naar uw serviceprovider in de lijst Operator en selecteer deze.
4. Druk op Menu > Opslaan om de instellingen voor serviceprovider en land op te slaan.
5. De HP iPAQ maakt automatisch een nieuwe GPRS-verbinding met de instellingen van uw
serviceprovider.
Geavanceerde proxyinstellingen configureren
1. Voer de naam van de proxyserver en de poort in voor het gewenste servertype.
2. Als u een Socks-proxy configureert, selecteert u Socks4 of Socks5. Als u Socks5 gebruikt, voert
u de aanmeldgegevens in om verbinding met de proxyserver te maken.
VPN-verbinding instellen
Met een VPN-verbinding (Virtual Private Network) kunt u veilig verbinding maken met servers (zoals
een bedrijfsnetwerk) via internet.
Vraag voordat u begint de volgende informatie op bij de netwerkbeheerder:

Hostnaam of IP-adres van de VPN-server
