Veiligheid en respect voor het milieu zijn de uitgangspunten geweest bij het ontwerpen van de Seicento.
Dankzij deze opvatting kon de Seicento strenge veiligheidstests het hoofd bieden en goed doorstaan. De Seicento
voldoet daarmee aan de hoogste eisen in zijn klasse. Bovendien is deze auto, naar alle waarschijnlijkheid, al voor-
bereid op de toekomstige normen.
Daarnaast is de Seicento door het doorlopende onderzoek naar nieuwe en doeltreffende bijdragen aan het behoud
van het milieu, een auto die navolging verdient.
Alle uitvoeringen zijn uitgerust met emissiereductiesystemen die bijdragen aan de bescherming van het milieu
en waarmee de uitstoot van schadelijke uitlaatgassen lager is dan de nu geldende normen.
De Seicento is niet alleen een milieubewuste auto tijdens het gebruik, maar ook daarna. Fiat heeft hard gewerkt
een zeer ambitieus doel te bereiken: 100% recycling. Aan het einde van zijn lange levensduur kan de Seicento
eenvoudig ontmanteld en al zijn onderdelen gerecycleerd worden. Voor de natuur betekent dat een groot
voordeel: niets gaat verloren, niets wordt gestort en er zijn minder nieuwe grondstoffen nodig.
