TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater fails to operate, please follow these procedures before
contacting customer services:
Heater stopped producing heat. Heater is not working.
The room temperature has warmed up to thermostat setting. If you
wish, you can adjust the thermostat control knob to a higher setting
(see: Operating instructions – thermostat).
The thermal cut-off has been activated because the unit is
overheated. Turn the heater off and unplug. (See further: Safety
features – thermal cut-off)
The heater fell over and the tip-over switch temporarily was shutting
off the unit. Turn heater off and unplug and position the heater upright.
Ensure that the heater is on a flat and even surface. Resume normal
operation.
The heater is not plugged into a 230V-50 Hz socket. Turn off the
heater and unplug immediately. Connect the heater to a suitable
socket.
Breaker / fuse has been tripped. Turn the heater off, check your
electrical box what is wrong and (let) repair. Connect the heater if
possible to another socket or another electric group and resume
working.
The heater is creating a burning smell
A drop of oil fell on the heating coil during the manufacturing process.
It will quickly evaporate and will not occur again. Ensure that the room
in which the heater is situated is well ventilated.
Check and ensure there are no combustible materials too close to the
heater. Remove them if necessary.
The heater is blowing air, but the air is not warm
The fan-only function is on. At this setting the heater will help
circulating the air and will not produce heat. Turn the heater on a
heating-setting if you wish.
Please do not attempt to open or repair the heater yourself.
Doing so can cause damage or personal injury
and voids the warranty and responsibility of the manufacturer.
