SAFETY FEATURES
Thermal Cut-off: If the unit overheats, the Thermal Cut-Off will disable
the heater temporarily. When this happens, turn the unit OFF and
unplug. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes. Overheating mostly happens
when the heater cannot throw out its heat: when it is covered, placed too
close to a wall, furniture etc. Give the heater another place and/or take
away all objects in the neighbourhood of the heater which possibly
caused the overheating. Inspect the heater and resume use after the unit
has cooled down sufficiently.
Keep an eye on the heater during the first hour of use after overheating.
If the heater overheats again, turn off the heater immediately, take the
plug from the socket and consult your dealer (or a qualified electrician)
for control/repair.
Safety Tip-Over Switch: This unit is equipped with a Safety Tip-Over
switch located inside the heater. This feature cuts the main power to the
unit if the heater gets knocked over. If the unit does tip over, simply stand
it up right to resume operation.
Safety Grilles: The heater is equipped with three safety grilles to protect
the heater elements. This part of the heater can get extremely hot: never
touch them with bare skin!
Do not block these grilles as it could cause fire.
Power Light: This utility heater is equipped with a power light, which
glows whenever the heater is plugged in and turned on. It will continue to
glow even if the thermostat has cycled the heating elements off. This
feature is to prevent you from being unaware that the heater is operating
and maintaining the temperature of the room. When you do not wish the
heater to control the room temperature, turn the control switch to OFF
(the power light will extinguish) and remove the plug from the electrical
outlet.
