F: Mein Computer erkennt den USB-zu-Parallel-Konverter nicht; woran
kann das liegen?
A: Schließen Sie den EM1018 direkt an den Computer an – nutzen Sie die
USB-Port direkt am Computergehäuse, verzichten Sie auf
zwischengeschaltete USB-Hubs und Verlängerungskabel.
Schauen Sie auf den Internetseiten des Computerherstellers nach
aktualisierten Motherboard-/USB-Port-Treibern. Stichwort: Chipsatztreiber.
Schauen Sie zusätzlich bei www.windowsupdate.com vorbei und lassen Sie
Ihre Windows-Version auf den neuesten Stand bringen.
F: Der Drucker ist angeschlossen; warum kann ich dennoch nicht
drucken?
A: Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Ihr Drucker richtig installiert wurde. Installieren
Sie den Drucker im Zweifelsfall noch einmal. Überzeugen Sie sich davon,
dass der USB-Port (nicht LPT1 oder LPT2) ausgewählt wurde. Dazu öffnen
Sie die Eigenschaften Ihres Druckers in der Systemsteuerung; im Register
„Anschlüsse“ finden Sie die gesuchten Einstellungen.
