tions carefully and follow them.

Intended Use
The device is intended to be used to make hands-free telephone
calls in a car. A Bluetooth
®
-enabled mobile phone is required to
be able to use the device.
Only ever use the device in environments in which the wireless
Bluetooth
®
technology is permitted.
The device is for personal domestic use only and is not intended
for commercial applications.
The device should only be used as described in these instruc-
tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
Safety Instructions
DANGER – Risk of Electric Shock
Use and charge the device only in closed rooms.
Never touch the device, the car charger or a USB mains adapter
(not supplied with the device) with wet hands when they are
connected to the mains power.
Should the device fall into water during the charging process,
switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull
it out of the water while the device is still connected to a power
source.
Never immerse the device, the car charger or a USB mains
adapter (not supplied with the device) in water or other liquids
and ensure that it cannot become wet.
Disconnect the device from the power source before cleaning it.
Do not connect the device to a power source for charging
during a thunderstorm!
WARNING – Danger of Injury
Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away
from children and animals.
Supervise children using the device. It is not a toy.
Always maintain a gap of at least 10 cm between the device
and a pacemaker or an implantable cardioverter de brillator
(ICD), as the device generates magnetic elds.
Danger of burns from battery acid! Batteries can be deadly if
swallowed. Therefore keep the battery and the device out of the
reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed, seek
medical assistance immediately.
Danger of burns from battery acid! If the battery has leaked,
do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes to come
into contact with the battery acid. Wear protective gloves if nec-
essary. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected area with
abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon
as possible.
Danger of hearing damage! Before switching on you should
set the volume on the mobile phone to a minimum! Your hear-
ing could be damaged by prolonged exposure to sound or to
sudden loud noises. Hearing damage is irreversible!
WARNING – Danger of Fire and Explosion
Danger of explosion! Do not expose the battery or the device
to any high temperatures (over 70 °C, hair dryer, heating,
prolonged sunlight etc.). The battery may overheat and explode
as a result.
Do not crush or pierce the battery! Do not expose the battery to
high pressure, as this may cause an internal short-circuit and
overheating.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
Before inserting the battery, check whether the contacts on
the device and on the battery are clean, and clean them if
necessary.
Use only the battery type speci ed in the technical data.
Incompatible batteries may damage the device.
Only charge up the battery in an ambient temperature of from
10°C to 40°C.
Remove a dead battery immediately and clean the contacts
before you insert a new battery.
The battery must not be taken apart, thrown into a re, immersed
in liquids or short-circuited.
Use only the car charger supplied or a proper USB mains
adapter whose technical data matches that of the device.
Make sure that the USB cable does not become squashed or
bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
Regularly recharge the battery when the device is not being
used.
Protect the device from heat, naked ames, direct sunlight,
extreme temperatures, persistent moisture, wet conditions and
collisions.
Under no circumstances should you use any corrosive or abra-
sive cleaning agents or rough sponges to clean the device.
These could damage the surfaces.
Do not use the device if it shows obvious signs of damage. Do
not take the device apart and do not attempt to repair it.
