Using the remote control on the handgrip
(certain models only)
In models with remote control, you can turn
the appliance on or off by pressing the
button. Suction power can be adjusted by
pressing the button to increase it or the
button to decrease it (fig. 11).
There are two infrared signal emitters on the
remote control. This enables the signal to be
transmitted from all working positions: how-
ever, bear in mind that the remote control
should always be pointed towards the appli-
ance.
USING AS A WET VACUUM CLEANER
By fitting the special brush, the appliance can
be used as a wet vacuum cleaner to pick up
liquids spilt accidentally on the ground etc.
You can collect about 3.5 litres. When this
limit has been reached, the safety float valve
trips and the appliance stops vacuuming.
When this happens, you must empty the tank
(E) and float valve housing (D), following the
instructions in the section "Regular cleaning".
NB:
For best performance, you should always
use the appliance with the bin empty.
You can also pick up liquids when using
the appliance as a dry vacuum cleaner.
DESCRIPTION OF THE TOOLS
Crevice tool (R - fig. 12)
For cleaning corners, edges, etc.
Multipurpose “T” nozzle (T - fig. 13)
Ideal for cleaning sofas, armchairs,
upholstery, car interiors, blankets,
mattresses, curtains, etc.
Dusting brush (U - fig. 14)
The brush tool is ideal for removing dust
from fabric, furniture, books, curtains,
frames and clothing.
Certain models only: turbo brush (V - fig.
15)
Fit the tool in place of the combined brush
provided.
When the appliance is on, the passage of air
causes the brush to rotate.
Never place the fingers under the turbo brush
when the appliance is operating.
Always clean the roller with the motor off.
Avoid vacuuming over rug fringes as they
could be damaged by the movement of the
roller.
For particularly delicate carpets, excessively
frequent use of the turbo brush could cause
damage to the fabric in the long term.
If the brush does not slide easily during
cleaning, reduce suction power.
Certain models only: parquet brush (W - fig.
16)
This special brush has soft natural horsehair
bristles and felt wheels which run over even
the most delicate floor without damaging it,
leaving it perfectly clean.
Combined carpet/floor brush (X - fig. 17)
Efficiently removes dust from floors (marble
or tiled), rugs or carpets.
When the "hard floors" pedal ( ) is
pushed, the bristles protrude to clean hard
floors more efficiently. This position is rec-
ommended for in-depth cleaning of floors
and for floors with pronounced joints.
When the pedal is pushed towards the "car-
pets" symbol ( ), the bristles retract and
the brush is ready to clean fabric surfaces
and delicate floors such as parquet, marble,
etc.
Wet vacuuming brush (Y - fig. 18)
Designed specifically for wet vacuuming, the
brush has a rubber element to pick up liquids
more efficiently.
Parking position ( - M)
During pauses in cleaning, or to store the
appliance, the telescopic extension can be
attached tidily to the appliance (fig. 19).
