TROUBLESHOOTING — EN
OPHEFFING
1.1.1 Zet stopcontact aan.
1.1.2 Controleer stroomverzorging.
1.1.3 Controleer stopcontact.
1.2.1 Controleer of stroomverzorging overeenkomt met gegevens op het typeplaatje.
2.1.1 Wacht 30–45 minuten tot motor afkoelt en hij automatisch weer gaat lopen. Als
de toestand aanhoudt, neem contact op met een servicepunt.
3.1.1 Draai 'cool' -knop naar 'ON' (fig. 11).
3.2.1 Vul weer met water tot waterpeilaahwijzer vol aanwijst.
Capaciteit van reservoir = 21 liter.
3.3.1 Draai 'cool' -knop naar 'OFF' en gebruik koeler alleen als ventilator.
3.4.1 Reinig delen – zie Onderhoud, blz. 5.
3.5.1 De pomp is NIET een aparte electrische pomp. Hij is verbonden met de
ventilatormotor en wordt mechanisch aangedreven. Zet koeler af en laat het reservoir
helemaal leeglopen (blz. 6). Dan weer met water vullen door de vulopening. Zet
ventilator op maximumsnelheid (III), zet de 'cool' -knop 'ON' (fig. 13) en laat de koeler
10–15 minuten continu lopen. Dit helpt vuil op te lossen en uit te spoelen. De espen
filtermat zou nu nat moeten zijn. Als de mat niet zichtbaar nat is en er geen koeling is,
laat de koeler door een servicepunt nakijken.
3.6.1 Controleer of de stroomverzorging op het juiste peil is.
3.6.2 Ventilator en pomp gaan iets sneller lopen terwijl de motor normale
bedrijfstemperatuur bereikt. Laat de koeler 30–60 minuten lopen en controleer
nogmaals. Als er geen verbetering is, laat de koeler door een servicepunt nakijken.
4.1.1 Laat reservoir leeglopen en vul koeler met schoon water. Als de geur aanhoudt,
maak het reservoir schoon en verang de espen filtermat of ga naar 4.2.1.
4.2.1 Doe wat vanilla-essence of parfum in het water.
5.1.1 Ga te werk als in 3.5.1.
6.1.1 Laat wat water weglopen (blz. 5).
6.2.1 Schuif de aanwijzer op naar de maximumstand en laat hem dan vallen. Als hij niet
werkt, laat hem door een servicepunt nakijken.
7.1.1 Electrische onderdelen moeten door een erkend servicepunt gerepareerd en
vervangen worden.
8.1.1 Als het aansluitsnoer van dit apparaat beschadigd is, moet het vervangen worden.
Wendt u zich tot een erkend servicepunt, omdat hiervoor speciaal gereedschap nodig is.
MOGELIJKE OORZAAK
1.1 Stopcontact of stroomverzorging
defect.
1.2 Verkeerde spanning.
2.1 Motor oververhit
(stroomonderbreker).
3.1 Koelknop in 'af'- positie.
3.2 Reservoir is leeg of bijna leeg.
3.3 Te vochtig weer.
3.4 Espen filtermat en/of
pompinlaafilter verstopt of vuil.
3.5 Pomp werkt niet goed.
3.6 Ventilator/pomp lopen niet snel
genoeg op lage snelheid.
4.1 Reservoir of filtermat vuil.
4.2 Slecht water.
5.1 Opeenhoping van vuil aan de
binnenkant van de pomp.
6.1 Reservoir te vol.
6.2 Waterpeilaanwijzer werkt niet.
7.1 Electrisch defect.
TOESTAND
1. Koeler wil eerst niet werken.
2. Koeler werkt niet meer na enige tijd
gelopen te hebben.
3. Geen koeling.
4. Koeler verspreidt een onaangename
geur.
5. Koeler maakt een schrapend of
ratelend geluid bij het aanzetten in het
nieuwe seizoen.
6. Water loopt over uit het reservoir.
7. Koeler werkt helemaal niet.
8. Beschadigd aansluitsnoer.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1.1 Power outlet or supply faulty.
1.2 Wrong voltage.
2.1 Motor overheated (safety cutout).
3.1 Cooling control is off.
3.2 Reservoir is empty or nearly empty.
3.3 Weather is too humid.
3.4 Aspen filter pad and/or pump inlet
screen blocked or dirty.
3.5 Pump is not working properly.
3.6 Fan/pump not running fast enough
on low speed.
4.1 Reservoir or filter pad dirty.
4.2 Water quality is poor.
5.1 Dirt has accumulated inside pump.
6.1 Too much water put in.
6.2 Water level meter not working.
7.1 Electrical fault.
REMEDY
1.1.1 Switch on power outlet.
1.1.2 Check power supply.
1.1.3 Check power outlet.
1.2.1 Check that power supply is the same as specified on the rating label.
2.1.1 Wait 30–45 minutes for motor to cool down and it will restart automatically. If
condition persists take the cooler to a service agent.
3.1.1 Turn 'cool' control to 'ON' (fig. 11)
3.2.1 Fill with water again until water level meter is at the full position.
Water capacity = 21 litres.
3.3.1 Turn 'cool' control to 'OFF' (fig. 12) and use cooler as a fan only.
3.4.1 Clean parts – see 'Maintenance' page 5.
3.5.1 The pump is NOT a separate electric pump. It is connected to the fan motor and
is driven mechanically. Turn the cooler off and completely drain the reservoir (page 6).
Then refill with water (page 2). Switch 'fan' to high speed (III), turn the 'cool' control to
'ON' (fig. 13) and run the cooler for 10–15 minutes non-stop. This will help dissolve and
flush out the dirt. The Aspen filter pad should now be wet. If the pad is not visibly wet
and there is no cooling, have the cooler checked by a service agent.
3.6.1 Check that supply voltage is up to correct level.
3.6.2 Fan and pump will pick up speed slightly as the motor reaches normal operating
temperature. Allow the cooler to run for 30–60 minutes and check again. If there is no
improvement have the cooler checked by a service agent.
4.1.1 Drain reservoir and fill the cooler with clean water. If it still smells clean the tank
and replace the Aspen filter pad or proceed to 4.2.1.
4.2.1 Add a little vanilla essence or perfume to the water.
5.1.1 Proceed as in 3.5.1
6.1.1 Drain some water out (page 5).
6.2.1 Slide the indicator up to the full position then let it drop. If it fails to operate have
it checked by a service agent.
7.1.1 Electrical parts must only be repaired and replaced by Authorised Service Agents.
8.1.1 If the power supply cord of this appliance is damaged it should be replaced by an
Authorised Service Agent as special purpose tools are required.
CONDITION
1. Cooler will not operate at first.
2. Cooler stops operating after running
for some time.
3. No cooling.
4. Cooler makes bad smell.
5. Cooler makes scraping or rattling
noise on new season start up.
6. Water overflows from reservoir.
7. Cooler will not operate at all.
8. Damaged power supply cord.
