Important safety instructions
NOTE!
Please read the operating instructions and safety information carefully before using
the cool box.
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for the device if the safety instructions are not followed.
The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injury and will
invalidate the warranty.
Installation and placement of the cool box
• Place the cool box on a dry, secure surface with adequate ventilation.
• Do not use this cool box near direct heat sources, such as open flames or radiators.
• The cool box must not be exposed to rain.
• Handle and install with care to avoid damaging the refrigerant lines.
• Ensure that the power cord is not pinched or damaged during installation.
Do not place multiple sockets or portable power supplies on the back of the device.
• Keep the ventilation openings free of obstructions.
Power supply and electrical safety
Only use the power supply unit supplied with the device. It must be supplied with the safety
extra-low voltage specified on the device.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service
department or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
• Disconnect the appliance from all power sources before performing any maintenance work.
• Risk of fire and electric shock. Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
Instructions for use
Do not place open containers with liquids or hot/warm food directly in the cool box. Allow
the food to cool down first.
• Secure the cool box and its contents when using it in a vehicle.
To maximise energy efficiency, ensure that the lid is closed tightly and only open it when
necessary.
Do not store explosive or flammable substances (e.g. aerosol cans with flammable propel-
lants) in or near the appliance.
• Do not allow hot objects to come into contact with the plastic parts of the appliance.
Food safety and maintenance
To prevent food from spoiling:
- Do not leave the lid open for long periods of time.
- Regularly clean surfaces that come into contact with food, as well as accessible drainage
systems.
- Store raw meat and fish in sealed containers to prevent contact with other food or
dripping onto other food.
If the appliance is not going to be used for a long period of time, switch it off, defrost it,
clean and dry it, and leave the lid open to prevent mould growth.
Do not use mechanical devices or other means to speed up defrosting unless recommended
by the manufacturer.
Do not use electrical appliances in the food compartments unless approved by the manufac-
turer.
The cool box is suitable for cooling and freezing food.
• Only use the cool box for cooling and storing sealed drinks and snacks.
• Do not store perishable food in the cool box.
• Food may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable containers.
The cool box is not intended for the proper storage of medicines. Follow the instructions in
the medicine's package insert.
Safety and repairs
The cool box can become very hot during operation; do not touch it.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
If the refrigerant circuit is damaged: Do not use ignition sources (e.g. matches, lighters) and
do not connect the appliance to the mains. Leave the room immediately and ventilate the
area for several minutes.
All repairs, maintenance and disposal must be carried out by a qualified technician. Do not
attempt to disassemble or repair the cool box.
• The power cord may only be replaced by qualified personnel authorised by the manufacturer.
