Load the laundry, close the door and turn the
programme selector to the desired
programme; the “Start/Pause” indicator
will flash. The temperature and spin speed
shown on the display can be changed by
pressing the “Temperature” or “Spin”
buttons. If you do not use the dosage aid
indicator: load the detergent according to
the information on the first page and in the
Instructions for Use.
If a particular programme and additional
function(s) combination is not possible, the
indicator will switch off automatically.
Impossible combinations of options are
automatically deselected.
“Prewash” button
Adds a prewash to the selected wash
programme and increases the duration of
the programme by about 15 minutes.

Consumption values were measured in normal conditions in compliance with standard IEC/EN 60456.
They may vary in the home depending on the individual water supply pressure and temperature, the
load and the type of wash. The consumption values provided are based on a water supply temperature
of approximately 15°C.
Water and energy consumption values are based on the programme default settings at the
temperatures and with the loads specified in the table. Selecting any options or changing the spin
speed will also change the consumption values.
The programme duration may differ from the values indicated above as they are affected by the
operating conditions (see also “Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use).
** To reduce the water temperature, cold water is added at the end of the main wash cycle before the
water is drained.
*** Automatic adaptation of programme duration after detection of wash load.
* Energy Label reference programme. For energy saving reasons, the actual water temperature can
differ from the specified temperature.
MACHINE LOADING AND
PROGRAMME SELECTION
SELECT DESIRED OPTIONS
For heavily soiled laundry (e.g. containing
sand or granular dirt).
Do not use liquid detergent for the main
wash when using the “Prewash” option.
“Intensive rinse” button
Increases the amount of water added and
prolongs the rinse cycle.
This option is particularly suitable for areas
with very soft water or for washing baby
garments, and is useful for people with an
allergy to detergents.
“Soil level” button
Adapts the programme duration to the soil
level of your laundry. Also influences the
detergent dosing aid recommendation
when using the “Dosing Aid” button.
= lightly soiled - = normally soiled -
= heavily soiled
Not all soil levels can be selected with each
programme.
Colours 15°” button
Provides environmentally friendly washing
by saving the energy used to heat water.
This option keeps colours brighter for
longer; this has been confirmed by the
German Cleaning Technology Institute
(the “wfk”).
Recommended for lightly soiled laundry
without stains.
Make sure that your detergent is suitable
for cold wash temperatures (15 or 20°C).
Not selectable for cotton programmes
70 - 95°C.
“Rapid” button
Speeds up washing by shortening the
programme duration.
Only recommended for lightly soiled
laundry.
Not selectable for cotton programmes
70 - 95°C.
“Spin” button (incl. “Rinse hold )
Every programme has a predefined spin
speed.
Press the button to set another spin speed.
If you select spin speed “0”, the final spin
will be cancelled and the water will drain
out only. However, intermediate spin
phases remain during the rinse.
If you select “Rinse hold” , the laundry
remains in the last rinse water without
progressing to the final spin cycle; this
avoids creasing and prevents colours from
running. To activate “Rinse hold”, press
the “Spin” button repeatedly until the
“Rinse hold” symbol on the display
lights up.
The wash programme is in “Rinse hold”
mode when the “Rinse hold” symbol
on the display flashes; the “Start/Pause”
indicator flashes as well.
To end “Rinse hold” by spinning the
laundry: press the “Start/Pause” button -
the laundry will be spun at the default spin
speed. You can also select another spin
speed using the “Spin” button before you
start the spin cycle with “Start/Pause”.
To end “Rinse hold” by draining without
spinning: press the “Spin” button until
spin speed “0” appears on the display;
then press “Start/Pause” to start the
draining process.
When using the “Rinse hold” option, do
not leave the laundry to soak for too long
in the spin water (especially silk).
- the sensor technology adapts water and energy consumption as well as the programme duration based on the load quantity
