Connecting to a TV set
CONNECTIONS
Turn off the power and unplug both units before setting up any connections.
Connecting TV through HDMI
1. Connect the HDMI OUT terminal on the rear of the Blu-ray disc player to the HDMI IN terminal of
your TV with a HDMI cable (not included).
2. Select HDMI as input source with your TV remote control until the HDMI signal from the Blu-ray
disc player appears on your TV screen.
3. After detected that HDMI jack has been connected, the unit will use the HDMI jack to output video
signal automatically, and the display screen of the unit will be blue screen at the same time. You can
shut down the upper cover to turn off the sound of the unit.
Notes:
Please refer to page 27 for HDMI settings in setup menu.
Depending on your TV, some HDMI output resolutions may not work. Please refer to the
user‘s manual of your TV.
Connecting TV through AV Out
Connect the AV OUT terminals on the unit to the AV IN terminals of your TV with an AV cable (not
included).
Shut down the upper cover to start the video output and turn off the sound of the unit.
Notes:
If your TV set supports HDMI, please select HDMI jack first.
The video output resolution should always be 480P (PAL) if you select this connection mode
and shut down the upper cover. You need not to set the resolution in Setup menu anymore.
Connect the USB device to the unit or insert a SD card in to the SD Card jack.
Notes:
Don't pull out the USB device or the SD card from the unit when the USB device or SD card is
in use.
Don't pull out the USB device or power off the USB device during BD-J discs playback.
The Blu-Ray Player can read and write to FAT32 file system. NTFS-Files system is read only.
You need a Storage Device with FAT32 File System to use the BD-Live function.
