Boccaccio (Bourgeoisie)
Giovanni Boccaccio was one of the
fathers of Italian Literature, like
Dante Alighieri and Francesco Petrarca. In
his masterpiece “Il Decameron” the main
characters of his book are ten young men
and ladies who flee from the City in order
to escape from the Plague and live happily
in the countryside.
The player holding this card may, at the end of
phase C, move one of his cubes to the palace
area if at least one other player’s cube is killed
by the Plague. The cube must be taken from
a region adjacent to the region where the rat
tokens are revealed (it doesn’t matter whether
this region contains rat tokens or not).
End of the game: The player may move the
Plague Piece one step in the final counter-
clockwise round. If the Plague kills another
player’s cube in this region he can save one of
his own cubes from a neighbouring region.
Card combinations: If a player also holds a
card depending on plague piece (like Chivalry
characters or Serf), he must apply the effects of
these cards in the same region.

Giovanni Boccaccio stond samen

literatuur. Zijn meesterwerk “Il Decameron”
vertelt het verhaal van tien jonge mannen en
vrouwen, die om aan te pest te ontsnappen,
de stad ontvluchten om op het platteland
een nieuw bestaan op te bouwen.
Een speler die deze kaart in bezit heeft mag aan
het einde van fase 3 één van zijn blokjes naar het
paleis verplaatsen als er tenminste één blokje van
een andere speler door de Zwarte Dood wordt
verwijderd. Het blokje moet uit een regio komen
aangrenzend aan de regio waar de rattenfiches
zijn afgehandeld (het maakt niet uit of in die regio
rattenfiches liggen of niet).
Einde van het spel: De speler mag de Zwarte
Dood pion in de laatste ronde één stap verplaatsen.
Als de Zwarte Dood in deze regio een blokje van
een andere speler verwijdert, dan mag hij uit een
aangrenzende regio een blokje redden.
Kaart combinaties: Als een speler nog een kaart
heeft die afhankelijk is van de Zwarte Dood (zoals
Ridderstand karakters of Horige), dan moet hij
het effect van al deze kaarten in dezelfde regio
laten plaatsvinden.
