INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL USO
ANTES DE USAR EL APARATO
El aparato que ha comprado es de uso exclusivamente
doméstico y para la conservación de alimentos congelados,
la congelación de alimentos frescos y la producción de
hielo.
La toma de tierra del aparato es obligatoria con
arreglo a la ley. El fabricante declina toda
responsabilidad por posibles daños causados a
personas, animales o cosas, derivados del
incumplimiento de las normas.
1. Tras desembalar el aparato, compruebe que no está
dañado, que la puerta cierre correctamente y que la
junta no esté deformada. Si observa daños, póngase en
contacto con el vendedor en un plazo de 24 h.
2. Una vez instalado el aparato, espere como mínimo dos
horas antes de ponerlo en marcha para que el circuito
frigorífico pueda alcanzar su eficiencia óptima.
3. Asegúrese de que la instalación y la conexión eléctrica
sean efectuadas por un técnico cualificado según las
instrucciones del fabricante y las normas locales en
materia de seguridad.
4. Limpie el interior del aparato antes de usarlo.
Antes de conectar el aparato a la red eléctrica,
cerciórese de que la tensión disponible sea igual a la que
figura en la placa de características colocada en la parte
posterior del aparato.
Las conexiones eléctricas deben ser conformes a la
normativa local.
CONGELACIÓN DE LOS ALIMENTOS
Preparación de alimentos frescos para su congelación
Envuelva herméticamente los alimentos frescos que se
van a congelar en: papel de aluminio, plástico, bolsas
impermeables de plástico o contenedores de polietileno
con tapa, adecuados para congelar alimentos.
Los alimentos deben ser frescos, maduros y de la mejor
calidad.
Si es posible, congele la fruta y la verdura fresca
inmediatamente después de su recogida, para conservar
inalteradas las sustancias nutritivas, la consistencia, el
color y el sabor de dichos alimentos.
Deje siempre enfriar los alimentos calientes antes de
introducirlos en el aparato.
Congelación de alimentos frescos
Coloque los alimentos a congelar directamente en
contacto con las paredes verticales del aparato:
A) - alimentos a congelar,
B) - alimentos ya congelados.
No coloque los alimentos a
congelar en contacto directo
con los alimentos ya
congelados.
Para obtener una congelación
mejor y más rápida, se
recomienda dividir los
alimentos en raciones
pequeñas; esto también
resultará útil a la hora de
consumir los alimentos
congelados.
1. Al menos 24 horas antes de
introducir alimentos frescos en el aparato, pulse el botón
de congelación rápida. Si su aparato no está provisto de
este pulsador, gire el termostato a la posición .
2. Introduzca los alimentos a congelar y mantenga cerrada
la puerta del aparato durante 24 horas. Transcurrido este
tiempo, desconecte la función de congelación rápida (si
está disponible).

Clasificación de los
alimentos congelados
Coloque los alimentos en el
congelador debidamente
clasificados; se recomienda
anotar la fecha de
congelación en el paquete
para garantizar el consumo
antes de su caducidad.
Consejos para conservar los alimentos
ultracongelados
En el momento de comprar alimentos ultracongelados
compruebe que:
El envase esté intacto, puesto que el alimento en su
interior puede haberse deteriorado. Si un envase está
hinchado o presenta manchas de humedad, significa que
el producto no se ha conservado en condiciones óptimas
y puede haber sufrido un inicio de descongelación.
Compre los alimentos ultracongelados lo último y
transpórtelos en bolsas térmicas.
En cuanto llegue a casa introduzca inmediatamente los
alimentos ultracongelados en el aparato.
Evite o reduzca al mínimo las variaciones de
temperatura. Respete la fecha de caducidad indicada en
el envase.
Siga siempre las instrucciones de conservación de los
alimentos ultracongelados que figuran en el envase.
Nota:
Consuma inmediatamente los alimentos descongelados o
parcialmente descongelados. No los vuelva a congelar,
salvo que estuvieran crudos y los haya cocinado. Una vez
cocinado, el alimento descongelado se puede volver a
congelar. En caso de corte prolongado de la electricidad:
salvo para colocar los acumuladores de frío (si el
modelo los incluye) encima de los alimentos
congelados, a la derecha e izquierda del aparato. De
esta manera, la temperatura aumentará más
lentamente.

RECOMMENDATIONS
After installation, make sure that the appliance is
not standing on the power supply cable.
Do not store glass containers with liquids in the appliance
since they may burst.
Do not eat ice cubes or ice lollies immediately after taking
them out of the appliance since they may cause cold burns.
Before servicing or cleaning the appliance, unplug it from
the mains or disconnect the electrical power supply.
Do not install the appliance in places exposed to direct
sunlight or near heat sources in order to avoid increasing
power consumption.
Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapours
and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. The
fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
Install the appliance in a perfectly horizontal position, on a
floor strong enough to take its weight and in an area
suitable for its size and use.
Install the appliance in a dry and well-ventilated place. The
appliance is set for operation at specific ambient
temperature ranges, according to the climatic class
indicated on the data plate located at the rear of the
product. The appliance may not work properly if it is left
for a long period at a temperature above or below the
indicated range.
If the appliance is left empty for short periods, it is
preferable not to switch it off.
Be careful not to damage the floors when you move the
appliance (e.g. parquet flooring).
Do not use mechanical devices or any means other than
those recommended by the manufacturer to speed up the
defrosting process.
Do not use electrical appliances inside the product, unless
such appliances are specifically recommended by the
manufacturer.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
To avoid the risk of children being trapped and
therefore suffocating, do not allow them to play or
hide inside the appliance.
The power cable may only be replaced by an
authorized person.
Do not use extension leads or adapters.
Electrical disconnection must be possible either by
unplugging the appliance or by means of a double-
pole switch located upline from the socket.
Ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance
data plate corresponds to the domestic supply
voltage.
Do not ingest the contents (non-toxic) of the ice
packs (if provided).
Restrict the number of times you open the lid.
DEFROSTING THE
APPLIANCE
The appliance should be defrosted
when the thickness of ice on the
walls reaches 5-6 mm.
Disconnect the appliance from
the mains power supply.
Remove the packs of food from
the appliance and wrap them
close together in newspaper and
store in a very cool place or
thermally insulated bag.
Leave the appliance lid open.
Remove the internal defrost water drain plug (depending
on model).
Remove the external defrost water drain plug (depending
on model) and reposition it as shown in the figure.
Place a bowl beneath the drainage channel to collect the
residual water. If available, use the divider.
Speed up defrosting by using a spatula to detach the ice
from the appliance walls.
Remove the ice from the bottom of the appliance.
In order to avoid permanent damage to the
appliance interior, do not use pointed or sharp metal
instruments for removing the ice.
Do not use abrasive products or heat up the interior
artificially.
Dry the interior of the appliance thoroughly.
On completion of the defrosting, refit the plug.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the ice from the upper edge (see the
Troubleshooting Guide).
Clean the inside after defrosting, using a sponge dampened
with warm water and/or mild detergent.
Clean the side motor cooling grille (depending on model).
Remove dust from the condenser on the rear of the
appliance.
Before carrying out maintenance, unplug the appliance.
Do not use abrasive products, scourers or stain-
removers (e.g. acetone, trichloroethylene) to clean the
appliance.
To obtain the best results from your appliance, carry
out cleaning and maintenance at least once a year.
CHANGING THE LID LIGHT
BULB (if provided)
Disconnect the appliance from the
mains power supply.
Remove the diffuser by following
the sequence of steps shown in the
figure.
Unscrew the light bulb and replace it with an identical bulb
of the same wattage and voltage.
Refit the diffuser and plug in the appliance.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. The red LED (if provided) remains alight.
Is there a power failure?
Is defrosting in progress?
Is the appliance lid properly closed?
Is the appliance positioned near a heat source?
Is the thermostat setting correct?
Are the ventilation grille and condenser clean?
2. The appliance is too noisy.
Is the appliance perfectly horizontal?
Is the appliance in contact with other furniture or objects that
may cause vibrations?
