when using the appliance.
m Improper assembly of barbecue may
be dangerous. Please follow the
assembly instructions carefully.
m Do not use this barbecue unless all
parts are in place. The barbecue must
be properly assembled according to
the assembly instructions.
m Your Weber

gas barbecue should
never be used by children. Accessible
parts of the barbecue may be very hot.
Keep young children, elderly and pets
away while barbecue is in use.
m This Weber
®
gas barbecue is not
intended for commercial use.
m This Weber
®
gas barbecue is not
intended for and should never be used
as a heater.
m Exercise caution when using your
Weber
®
gas barbecue. It will be hot
during cooking or cleaning, and
should never be left unattended, or
moved while in operation.
m Do not use charcoal, briquettes or lava
rock in your Weber
®
gas barbecue.
m While igniting the barbecue or
cooking, never lean over open
barbecue.
m Never place hands or fingers on the
front edge of the cookbox when the
barbecue is hot or the lid is open.
m Do not attempt to disconnect the gas
regulator or any gas fitting while your
barbecue is in operation.
m Use heat-resistant barbecue mitts or
oven gloves when operating barbecue.
m Use the regulator that is supplied with
your Weber
®
gas barbecue.
m Follow regulator connection
instructions for your type of gas
barbecue.
m Should the burner go out while
barbecue is in operation, turn the
gas valve off. Open the lid and wait
five minutes before attempting to
relight barbecue, using the igniting
instructions.
m Do not place barbecue on glass or
a combustible surface; heat can be
conducted through the legs of portable
barbecues.
m Do not build this model of barbecue
in any built-in or slide-in construction.
Ignoring this WARNING could cause a
fire or an explosion that can damage
property and cause serious bodily
injury or death.
m Do not store an extra (spare) or
disconnected gas supply cartridge/
cylinder under or near this barbecue.
m After a period of storage and/or
non-use, the Weber
®
gas barbecue
should be checked for gas leaks and
burner obstructions before use. See
instructions in this Owner’s Guide for
correct procedures.
m Do not operate the Weber
®
gas
barbecue if there is a gas leak present.
m Do not use a flame to check for gas
leaks.
m Do not put a barbecue cover or
anything flammable on the barbecue
while barbecue is in operation or is
hot.
m Butane/propane gas is not natural gas.
The conversion or attempted use of
natural gas in a butane/propane gas
unit is dangerous and will void your
warranty.
m Keep electrical mains lead and the
fuel supply hose away from heated
surfaces.
m Do not enlarge valve orifice or burner
ports when cleaning the valve or
burner.
m The Weber
®
gas barbecue should be
thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
m A dented or rusty gas supply cartridge/
cylinder may be hazardous and should
be checked by your gas supplier. Do
not use a gas supply cartridge/cylinder
with a damaged valve.
m Although your gas supply cartridge/
cylinder may appear to be empty, gas
may still be present, and the cartridge/
cylinder should be transported and
stored accordingly.
m Make sure you are outdoors and away
from any source of ignition when
changing or connecting cartridge or
cylinder.
m Should a grease fire occur, turn off the
burner and leave lid closed until fire is
out.
m Should an uncontrolled flare-up occur,
move food away from the flames until
flaring subsides.
m The use of alcohol, prescription drugs,
non-prescription drugs, or illegal
drugs may impair the consumer’s
ability to properly and safely assemble,
move, store or operate the appliance.
