Dolby Digital
Veel bioscopen zijn uitgerust met 5.1 kanaals surroundsystemen. Deze technologie is ook beschikbaar
voor bij u thuis. Om optimaal gebruik te kunnen maken van dit systeem, moet u DVD-speler via de digitale
uitgangen (coaxiaal of optisch) zijn aangesloten op een externe Dolby Digital-decoder.
Dolby Pro Logic
Dit is de technologie van Dolby Laboratories om Dolby Surround-gecodeerde programmas actief te
ontcijferen. Dolby Surround-programmas hebben vier audiokanalen (links, midden, rechts en surround),
die gecodeerd zijn in een standaard stereosignaal met twee kanalen. Het achterste kanaal is mono.
PCM
PCM staat voor Pulse Code Modulation en is een digitaal audiosignaal.
MPEG
Afkorting voor Moving Picture Experts Group. Dit is een internationale norm voor compressie van
bewegende beelden. Op sommige DVDs zijn de digitale audiosignalen volgens deze norm gecomprimeerd
en opgenomen.
DivX
DivX is een digitale compressietechnologie voor bewegende beelden, gebaseerd op MPEG-4 en ontwikkeld
door DivX Networks Inc.
¥ ATTENTIE:
·Deze DVD-speler zal mogelijk bepaalde MP3-opnamen niet ondersteunen door verschillen in de
opnameformaten of het schijftype.
·Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing voor de MP3-weergave.
·CD-R/CD-RW-schijven, die met de CD-DA-methode werden opgenomen, kunnen worden afgespeeld.
Sommige CD-R/CD-RW-schijven kunnen incompatibel zijn door de laser pick-up en het
schijfontwerp.
·Sommige VCD-schijven kunnen incompatibel zijn.
·DVD-R-schijven, die met de DVD-videomethode werden opgenomen, kunnen worden afgespeeld.
