11.4.4 40° nozzle (coloured white)
This nozzle delivers a 40 degree spray pattern and a less powerful stream of water. It covers a
wide area of cleaning. this nozzle should be used for most general cleaning jobs.
11.4.5 Low pressure nozzle (coloured black)
This nozzle is used to apply chemicals or cleaning solutions. It has the least power stream.
Note:
Due to material and workmanship differences high pressure streams can damage patio paving
slabs. Try on a small test area first. If necessary adjust the pressure by changing nozzles or
slowing down the engine speed
11.5 Connect the nozzle (Fig. 15)
Connect the nozzle to the lance using the quick release connector this allows the quick and
easy changing of nozzles. To connect a nozzle slide the collar back towards the gun, push the
nozzle into the end of the lance. Release the collar to lock the nozzle into position. To
disconnect a nozzle slide the collar back towards the gun, the nozzle can now be removed.
Note: please be sure that you crosscheck the correct connection of the nozzle.
Warning: the nozzle is not properly fixed when the collar doesn’t slide back. Push the nozzle
with high force into the opening, otherwise the collar doesn’t slide back by itself and the nozzle
is shot out
11.6 Using the detergent facility
Rinse surface with cool water before applying cleaner.
Prepare detergent as required by job.
Remove cap from detergent container and fill.
Spray detergent on surface. For best result use long, even, and overlapping strokes.
Allow detergent to set for about 3 minutes before sensing, but do not allow detergent to
dry on surface or it may cause streaking or cause damage to the surface.
To clean equipment after use, flush water through the spray nozzle for 1-2 minutes then
shut off the machine. Soak nozzle in a bucket of clean water to remove detergent.
11.7 Self-priming from open tanks/containers and natural water (Fig. 16)
Self-priming, allows the suction of water from containers and natural sources. It is
IMPORTANT that the filter on the water inlet is cleaned and in place, and that only clean water
is sucked in.
With this accessory the appliance can draw water to max. 1 m above the water surface. This
can take up to 1 minute.
Immerse the 2 m suction hose completely under water to get the air out.
Connect the suction hose to the appliance and ensure that the intake filter remains under
water.
Run the appliance without the hand spray gun attached until water flows evenly out of the
high-pressure hose.
If no water flows out after 1 minute, switch the appliance off and check the appliance. Once
the water flows, switch off the appliance and attach the hand spray gun and the jet pipe so you
can work.
It is important that the hose and coupling are of a good quality, tightly fitted and that the seals
are undamaged and inserted straight. Leaky connections can impair the suction.
