OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these operating instructions carefully as they include valuable advice on safety and
how to use the equipment. Look after these operating instructions carefully.
WARNINGS
• Only connect this unit to alternating current and check that the mains supply voltage corresponds
to that indicated on the unit. .
• Make sure the unit is perfectly dry before using it.
• When the appliance is connected to the power supply it must not be used near
the bath or shower, or over basins filled with water.
• After use always switch the unit off and remove the plug from the power supply socket.
• Do not pull on the wire to remove the plug from the power supply socket.
• Do not pull the plug out of the power supply socket when your hands are wet.
• Always check the state of repair of the appliance before switching it on, and ensure the mains
adapter and power supply cable are also in perfect condition.
• Do not use your unit if it is not working properly, if it has fallen or if the cord is damaged. Do not
try to repair this electrical unit yourself, rather contact an authorized technician.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water
presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Warn children of the dangers of electrical equipment and inform them of the relevant safety
standards. Never leave electrical equipment within reach of children.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• The elements used to pack the unit (plastic bags, cardboard box, etc.) must be kept out of reach
of children as they are a potential danger to them.
• This unit must only be used for the purposes for which it is expressly intended. Any other use is
to be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility
for damage caused by improper or erroneous use.
• Do not expose the appliance to temperatures below 0°C or above 40°C. Avoid exposing the
appliance to direct and prolonged sunlight.
• Do not leave the appliance on charge in wet places and do not recharge the appliance when it is
wet.
• Before using the appliance for the first time, charge the battery for 24 hours.
• The appliance comes equipped with a NiMH battery. To safeguard the environment, do not dispose
of the battery along with household refuse, but deliver it to a disposal point for batteries.
• Have the battery removed by qualified technical personnel or by the treatment and recycling centre.
• Do not expose the battery to liquid, moisture or high humidity.
• Keep the battery away from magnetic fields, sources of heat and naked flames.
• Danger of scratches or cuts. Do not use a comb or a set of blades if they are damaged. Replace
them immediately, as they may cause injury.
• Take care not to scratch the skin when handling the appliance with the set of blades without
combs.
