WiFi b

802.11b IEEE standaard voor draadloos netwerk

met een snelheid van maximaal 11 Mbps op de

frequentie van 2.5GHz.

WiFi g

802.11g IEEE standaard voor draadloos netwerk

met een snelheid van maximaal 54 Mbps op de

frequentie van 2.5GHz. 802.11g is ook geschikt

voor 802.11b, maar dan met de snelheid van

11Mbps.

SSID

Service Set Identication (SSID) is de sleutel die

gebruikt wordt binnen een draadloos netwerk. Alle

apparatuur die wordt aangesloten, moet gebruik

maken van dezelfde SSID-code.

SSID-code komt overeen met de ESSID in een

router en de gebruikte netwerknaam.

WEP

Wired Equivalent Privacy is een data encryptie

protocol voor 802.11b/g draadloze netwerken.

Alle aangesloten apparatuur worden verbonden

met een 64-bit of 128-bit Shared Key voor data

encryption.

Wi-Fi

Een andere naam voor draadloos internet of een

naam voor 802.11 standaarden.

WPA

is een afkorting voor Wi-Fi Protected Access en is

een beveiligingsstandaard.

TKIP

Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) dat ervoor

zorgt dat de sleutels regelmatig en automatisch

worden gewijzigd.
