INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
To switch on the device, press the button beside the display, a brief „beep” indicates
„Thermometer ON”. At the same time an LCD test (all segments of the display
appear) will be run. After that an internal test figure of 36.50 °C will be shown on the
display. The thermometer now switches into the measuring mode and is now ready
for use. The last measurement value can be shown by pressing the on-/off-button for
at least 2 sec.
During measurement the current temperature is displayed. The „°C” sign blinks
constantly. When the beep sounds and the „°C” stops flashing, the temperature now
increases less than 0,1°C in 16 seconds.
When the oral or rectal method is used, this indicates that the final temperature has
almost been reached. There will be little significant change from now on.
With the axillary method you have to keep the specified time of measurement. When
the measurement is completed, the highest reading will continue to be displayed until
the thermometer is switched off. In order to extend the life of the batteries, we re-
commend switching the device off after use by briefly pressing the button. If this is
not done, the thermometer will switch itself off after 10 minutes.
TYPES OF MEASUREMENT
In the mouth (oral)
Place the thermometer under the tongue. The sensor must be in
close contact with the tissue. Close your mouth and breathe quietly through your
nose. Minimum measuring time: 1 minute
In the rectum (rectal)
This is the most accurate measuring method. It is particularly suitable for infants and
small children. The tip of the thermometer is carefully guided 1 – 2 cm into the
rectum.
Minimum measuring time: 1 minute
Under the arm
This method is unsuitable for measurements where precision is essential. Minimum
measuring time: 5 – 10 minutes!

    • The “L” means that the thermometer is at its lowest point and ready to take your temperature. It does not mean the battery is low. Answered on 18-5-2020 at 16:24
