General Power Tool Safety Warnings– Power tool
use and care
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool
for your application. The correct power tool will do the
job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it
on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or
remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power
tool before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool
accidentally.
Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or
these instructions to operate the power tool. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other condition that may affect the
power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power
tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power tools.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained
cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to
bind and are easier to control.
Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in
accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power tool for operations different
from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and
free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping
surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the
tool in unexpected situations.
General Power Tool Safety Warnings– Service
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only identical replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Device-specific safety warnings for compressors
and blow-out guns
Do not use the device in potentially explosive rooms.
Make sure that the suction side is kept free of dirt and
loose objects.
Always keep the device clean, dry and free from oil or
greases.
Do not use the device at temperatures below +5°C or
above +40°C.
The device is not designed for continuous operation.
Too long operation may cause overheating. Over a period
of 10minutes, do not use the compressor for more than
1.5minutes in continuous operation.
Prevent unintentional starting.
Make sure that the device is switched off before
connecting it to the mains. Always store the device in a
way that it does not rest on the on/off switch.
Never direct the compressed-air jet towards yourself,
other people or animals.
Make sure that no combustible gases or liquids are
sucked in during operation. They could ignite during
compression and cause fire or explosion.
Accessories used with this compressor must be
designed for operating pressures corresponding to or
exceeding the maximum operating pressure stated on
the compressor.
Accessories designed for a lower operating pressure may
burst and cause chips to fly around.
Pay attention to and comply with the maximum
permissible pressure of the items to be inflated.
Excessive pressure can lead to bursting and thus cause
personal injury or property damage.
Before disconnecting the hose coupling, make sure
that the residual pressure in the system has been
released completely. Hold the coupling end of the hose
with your hand to prevent injuries caused by the whipping
hose when disconnecting the coupling.
Protect the compressed-air hose from severe strains
such as kinks, restrictions, solvents and sharp edges.
A defective compressed-air line can cause whipping of the
compressed-air hose and lead to personal injury.
Only use feed hoses with a stated maximum operating
pressure equal to or higher than that of the
compressor.
Feed hosed designed for a lower operating pressure could
burst leading to personal injury or property damage. You
should only use fabric- or wire-reinforced feed hoses for
compressors with a max. pressure above 7bar.
