Loudspeaker, ringing tone and earpiece settings
Alarm mode
You can set how you want to be notified of incoming calls: with a ringing tone,
with a ringing tone and buzzer (vibration alarm) or with buzzer only.
MENU Press the Menu key.
Choose Select 3 using the arrow key.
Select 3 Handset Tone Press the Select 3 key.
Choose Select 5 using the arrow key.
Select 5 Alarm Mode Press the Select 5 key.
e.g. Ring The current setting is displayed.
Select the desired signal type (ring / ring &
vibration / vibration) using the arrow key.
OK Press the OK key.
Select further settings. Or
Press the R key to leave that menu level.
Key Beeps
You can turn key beeps (a tone confirms each press of a number key) on or
off.
MENU Press the Menu key.
Choose Select 3 using the arrow key.
Select 3 Handset Tone Press the Select 3 key.
Choose Select 6 using the arrow key.
Select 6 Key Beeps Press the Select 6 key.
Select On or Off using the arrow key.
OK Press the OK key.
Select further settings. Or
Press the R key to leave that menu level.

Emergency call mode
Process of an emergency call
Enclosed, you will find 4 information cards for the recipient of the
emergency call. Fill in the card and pass them on to the people whose call
numbers you have stored as emergency numbers in your telephone. In
case of an emergency call, those people will then know what to do.
If an emergency call is accepted by a recipient but not acknowledged using
the 5 key (see above), the telephone classifies the emergency call as not
accepted and dials the next number.
If an emergency call is picked up an answering machine, the telephone
classifies the emergency call as not accepted and dials the next number.
Person seeking help
Press emergency key of the
handset
The handset is automatically
switched to the hands free mode.
End conversation:
Press the Lift / Replace key of
the handset.
Recipient of an emergency call
DTMF telephone is ringing. Pick-
up the handset. The emergency
S.O.S. signal-sequence is heard.
Press number key 5
(acknowledgement). The
emergency S.O.S. signal-
sequence is stopped.
