L’ora mondiale viene impostata presso la fabbrica TX e non dovrebbe
essere necessario impostarla dopo l’acquisto dell’orologio, eccetto
dopo la sostituzione della batteria da parte di un dettagliante autoriz-
zato o di un’azienda affiliata della TX.
L’impostazione dell’ora mondiale consiste nella selezione di una città all’interno del
proprio fuso orario e nell’impostazione dell’ora di quella città in modo che
corrisponda alla propria ora locale. L’orologio saprà quindi l’ora di tutte le altre città.
Per impostare l’ora mondiale
1) Estrarre la corona nella sua posizione intermedia. La lancetta centrale
indica la città del fuso orario mondiale, mentre la lancetta superiore
indica l’ora mondiale.

Quando la stagione in una città è impostata su ESTATE, tutte le città
nello stesso emisfero sono impostate automaticamente su ESTATE,
mentre tutte le città nell’altro emisfero sono impostate automaticamente
su INVERNO. L’orologio sa quali città si trovano in ciascun emisfero.
ESEMPIO: l’Australia e gran parte dell’Europa cambiano l’ora in marzo
e ottobre. Se Parigi è la città prescelta, selezionare INVERNO fra ottobre
e marzo. Selezionare ESTATE fra marzo e ottobre. Quando la città viene
cambiata in Sydney, l’indicazione della stagione cambia automatica-
mente per essere l’opposto di quella di Parigi, perché Sydney si trova
nell’emisfero opposto. Per Tokyo, la stagione sarà la stessa di Parigi, ma
poiché Tokyo non osserva l’ora legale, l’impostazione della stagione non
ha alcun impatto sull’ora.
Le città che si trovano nello stesso emisfero possono passare dall’ora
INVERNALE a quella ESTIVA e viceversa in date diverse, a seconda delle
loro diverse leggi. La maggior parte del tempo, tuttavia, l’impostazione
della stagione sarà giusta per tutte le città. Per ulteriori
