In der Praxis kann nur ein Teil dieser Energie genutzt werden:
Die tatsächlich nutzbare Energie hängt von den Verlusten durch die Einbaulage der
Kollektoren (Ausrichtung, Verschmutzung, Schattenwurf…) und dem Wirkungsgrad der
Anlage ab.
Thermische Sonnenkollektoren können, je nach Typ, einen Wirkungsgrad von 60 - 75 %
erreichen (Quelle: Wikipedia).
Beispiel: Bei einer Sonneneinstrahlung von 600 W/m
2
und einem Wirkungsgrad von 75 %
ergibt sich eine Wärmeleistung von 0,75 * 600 W/m
2
= 450 W/m
2
am Sonnenkollektor.
